Here to yipe but NOT about sans, but Flowey. I feel like Flowey is neglected in discussion of Horrortale. He’s still a souless, compassionless being for all we know.

He’s very eminent in Aliza getting through alive. Let’s be honest, Aliza is Flowey’s best chance of getting out. And well….Flowey is Aliza’s best chance at getting out alive.

Flowey has stated he doesn’t want to be there. I find it very interesting that as Flowey becomes more passive in Horrortale, The world around him becomes more cruel.

Now, who the hell here is actually trusting this mf ? I DON’T. Yes, Flowey is more genuine here than he is in OG Undertale. He gets grouchy, he gets pessimistic, and he gets rude at times. There is no overly smiley mask here, but there is still deception. Deception that doesn’t just work on Aliza, but the audience as well.

You see Flowey made it so he’s the false sense of safety in this story. He is the only character that does not want to eat or kill you.

At the time, he’s also making a “Us vs Them” situation to further emphasize that he’s the only one Aliza can trust. Yes, the ‘them’ in the situation aren’t trustworthy at all, but I feel there is a on-purpose isolation that Flowey is emphasizing here.

He also insults Aliza a lot to further his points. She’s an idiot for not listening to him. She’s an idiot for bad ideas (Like the disguise). Aliza is suppose to not even trust her own self and judgement even. Let’s be fr though…..her survival instincts are bad. At the same time, saying she’s a kind and smart girl. Probably to keep her trust.

Even when Flowey did fuck up to the point Aliza like doesn’t want to be friends anymore, he tries to justify his actions. Sugar coat. He does somewhat apologize, which is where he says she’s a smart n kind girl.

Here to say, Flowey sees their friendship is somewhat transactional. When she gets herself almost killed by cooking herself in a oven(Give her survival instincts please😭😭), he calls her selfish.

Also the fact he lets her cook to prove a point. Wtf brotha….don’t pull that then be like ‘it was to save you’. You were just scared that the mutual goal of y’all’s friendship ‘finding a way out’ was being lost.

I fully believe this mf gonna turn a 180 and be like ‘Sorry but I need to get out of here and for that I need your soul’. Because you see, I got a theory. My theory is Flowey is gonna take Aliza’s soul to leave the barrier. Now, you need a monster and Human soul to leave. I don’t know where he’ll get the monster soul, but he’s half way there to being able to leave.

If you think Flowey is just turning a new leaf in the Horrortale timeline. You are mistaken. You have been fooled. I swear to god he’s gonna turn on Aliza. I don’t know what for because I think Flowey has left genocidal tendencies in the past. But, something to survive. He still has determination afterall. The unshakable need to keep going.
