Rat Mines Forever

This blog will mainly be about what I am intending to be my forever world. It is a Superflat Miner's Dream preset, which means it is very thick as opposed to the typical Superflat which is only a few layers deep. So I will be mining forever!

This doesn't look very nice. I don't like it. Maybe fences would be nicer but I feel like it will roughly have the same problem. Idk what to do. I don't want to obstruct too much farmland. But this is ugly :/

Here are some pics from my creative/test world where it doesn't have the railing at all (and I planted crops in a funky way for fun but that won't be a thing in the survival world lol)

So needless to say I have little to no Elytra experience. Getting one, and going to The End in general is not imminent on my list of things to do, but I’m thinking maybe like, in February, for one year celebration of the world?

Episode 4 - Part 1

I decided to not try and speedrun a tour like I did in Episode 2; I think I have a much better hang of how to edit and upload these videos now so it doesn't feel so harrowing to have to split it into two parts haha.

Sodium/Iris Shaders had an update and its caused a glitch that makes there be beautiful dappled light in the basement. I'm sure they'll fix it eventually but in the mean time it's kind of nice lol

So I'm temporarily changing how I'm doing the chunk terraces down to the center. I'm going to be making the terraces steeper, and the overall spiral will be smaller. This is just until I get enough dug out to build the whole house.

I’m not sure how long I should wait before giving up on them, I really want to be able to experience the new updates as soon as possible, and all the other UI mods generally update within a week of the official release.

But I do like Traveler’s Backpack, and want to have some kind of backpack mod in general, so I’ll wait a little longer. I think if they haven’t updated by August I’ll remove it though.

I won’t be able to use them in this world for quite a while since it’s only out on a snapshot and I need to wait for official release and then mods to catch up, but still. It will be so exciting!!!
