where:Ā alyssa'sĀ apartmentĀ inĀ coralĀ cove.
dynamic:Ā maxĀ xĀ alyssa.
sheĀ wasĀ justĀ foldingĀ upĀ someĀ laundry in the living roomĀ thatĀ sheĀ hadĀ beenĀ procrastinatingĀ on.Ā leavingĀ herĀ sketchbookĀ openĀ onĀ herĀ deskĀ asĀ ifĀ sheĀ hadĀ beenĀ tryingĀ toĀ multi-taskĀ onĀ oneĀ millionĀ andĀ oneĀ thingsĀ atĀ once while her brother was visiting.Ā listeningĀ toĀ everythingĀ thatĀ herĀ brotherĀ hadĀ beenĀ sayingĀ withĀ aĀ nodĀ ofĀ herĀ headĀ ....Ā notĀ reallyĀ evenĀ fullyĀ knowingĀ whatĀ heĀ wasĀ talkingĀ aboutĀ dueĀ toĀ howĀ distractedĀ she'dĀ justĀ gotten.Ā "Ā iĀ totallyĀ justĀ missedĀ allĀ ofĀ thatĀ ...Ā "Ā sheĀ paused.Ā "Ā butĀ anywayĀ ā¦Ā iĀ amĀ notĀ cookingĀ tonightĀ soĀ we'reĀ orderingĀ in.Ā iĀ wouldĀ callĀ loisĀ andĀ archieĀ toĀ comeĀ joinĀ usĀ butĀ ...Ā iĀ thinkĀ they'reĀ busy.Ā doingĀ what?Ā whoĀ knows?Ā "
"and that's how i learned that i have superpowers!" having noticed alyssa was no longer paying attention, he was busy making up stories as she did all her little tasks. when she confirmed, he nodded, "yeah, i was wondering what you were gonna have to say about my new super strength. long story." then he said "i was talking about getting a cat, but he can discuss later." he shrugged, humming, "it's been awhile since we all got together. they must hate us or something since they're so busy." max joked, letting out a dramatic, teasing sigh, "though, maybe we can lure them over with takeout chinese food."
theĀ responseĀ comesĀ aĀ littleĀ bitĀ tooĀ lateĀ inĀ theĀ formĀ ofĀ aĀ quickĀ nodĀ thanksĀ toĀ theĀ factĀ thatĀ hisĀ lipsĀ wereĀ wrappedĀ aroundĀ theĀ cigaretteĀ heĀ wasĀ currentlyĀ inhaling.Ā āĀ sorryĀ aboutĀ theĀ smoke...Ā āĀ heĀ quicklyĀ apologizes,Ā makingĀ aĀ pointĀ toĀ turnĀ hisĀ headĀ awayĀ asĀ heĀ exhales.Ā it'sĀ unhealthy,Ā heĀ knows.Ā hasĀ heardĀ itĀ plentyĀ ofĀ timesĀ beforeĀ butĀ it'sĀ theĀ onlyĀ thingĀ thatĀ takesĀ theĀ edgeĀ offĀ thoseĀ exhaustingĀ overnightĀ shifts.Ā āĀ niceĀ isn'tĀ howĀ i'dĀ describeĀ runningĀ rightĀ afterĀ work,Ā outsideĀ orĀ inside.Ā so,Ā youĀ know,Ā noĀ judgementĀ here.Ā āĀ thenĀ asĀ ifĀ toĀ respondĀ toĀ herĀ questionĀ heĀ quicklyĀ glancesĀ atĀ theĀ cigaretteĀ currentlyĀ betweenĀ hisĀ fingersĀ andĀ upĀ atĀ herĀ again.Ā āĀ doingĀ myĀ ownĀ kindĀ ofĀ selfĀ careĀ beforeĀ walkingĀ thoseĀ lastĀ fewĀ stepsĀ home...Ā theĀ usual.Ā ā
"it's okay," bria nods at him, lifting an eyebrow, "but you know as well as me what i have to say about cigarettes." she doesn't scold him, just lifts an eyebrow at him and leans back against the bench. she chuckles then, "not a runner, huh? smart man." she sometimes wishes it wasn't a hobby she had picked up, it was really too bad that it actually felt good. all those fitness people were right. "i like our differing definitions of self-care," bria hums, "because we definitely need something after a long day on the floor. for me it's either this or a crisp beer, and that's usually frowned upon this early in the morning. what about you? just cigarettes?"
āYour miscalculation is our cautionary tale,ā Felipe nodded . Heād always preferred treadmill over outdoor running, regardless of conditions. Briaās comments only reinforced that belief. At her question he holds up a jack russel puppy, still small enough to fit in one hand, āIt was supposed to be a morninā walk. Turned out to be more of a morninā hold.ā He set the little dog down on the space next him with a sigh. She had managed to walk for all of five minutes before making a stand that theyād continue no further unless he picked her up. Felipe had an inkling the pup spent a lot of time in Juliannaās arms and had gotten used to being carried around. āWeāve managed to do some training though. Check it out. Sit.ā He pointed a finger at the already sitting pup. āEso. Good girl.ā He turned to Bri, āHow you been? Yāknow, aside from testing the limits of the human spirit against the summer weather.ā
Bria snorted, looking at the puppy with a warm smile as she teased, "Well, she looks adorable despite her dislike for exercise." She watched the puppy perform her 'trick,' humming, "Wow, she should be dog show ready in no time! Can I pet her?" She asked, not wanting to assume. Then she shrugged, "I've been working a lot, naturally. Not much time for many other things. Been trying to get back into reading, but that... has not yet been a success. We're getting there." Bria chuckled softly then tilted her head a little as she asked, "What about you? Besides holding your new friend, anything interesting going on?"

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā theĀ momentĀ sheĀ catchesĀ theĀ familiarĀ figureĀ ,Ā milaĀ couldnātĀ helpĀ butĀ rushĀ overĀ toĀ getĀ theĀ manāsĀ attentionĀ ,Ā halfĀ -Ā hopingĀ thatĀ itĀ wouldĀ beĀ kennyĀ butĀ alasĀ .Ā itĀ hasĀ beenĀ aĀ littleĀ overĀ twoĀ weeksĀ sinceĀ sheĀ lastĀ heardĀ fromĀ herĀ manĀ ,Ā muchĀ lessĀ seenĀ himĀ āĀ theĀ thoughtĀ makesĀ herĀ headĀ spinĀ .Ā godĀ ,Ā thisĀ couldnātĀ beĀ realĀ .Ā āĀ holdĀ meĀ ,Ā āĀ sheĀ saysĀ toĀ theĀ nearestĀ bystanderĀ ,Ā alreadyĀ throwingĀ aĀ handĀ outĀ .Ā āĀ iĀ thinkĀ iāmĀ goingĀ toĀ faintĀ .Ā ā
it all happens so quickly, mila runs over, she realizes something (max isn't quite sure what), then her hand is thrown out. he thinks fast, holding out his arms in preparation, always the gentleman, of course, "uhhh, are you okay? is this, like, a doctor situation? or do you just need water?" he asks, pretty sure he has a half-full, lukewarm water bottle in his bag if she needs it.

Santiago glanced up from the book in his hands at the sound of conversation directed at him. "It's easy to forget how miserable it actually is to be out in humidity during the other seasons, or at least that's what I tell myself whenever summer finally rolls around and I find myself spending time outside." He mused as if it was a common occurrence. The truth was, it wasn't. Summertime often meant he stayed indoors more, catching up on reading or a watchlist while school wasn't in session. "I somehow convinced myself that reading in the park would be a good idea, but just like you, the humidity has me reconsidering that decision. I'm thinking I should've just gone to the library to get out of my house instead."
"Yeah, I always seem to be begging for summer during the winter and yet..." Though, maybe that was part of the fun of each passing season, you had something new and different to complain about. Bria chuckled, a smile on her face, "How long you been out here? Close to roasting yet?" She was ready to agree, honestly, maybe she should have just opted for the treadmill no matter how boring it may have been, "What are you reading anyway? Something interesting?" She didn't have much time to read, but that didn't mean she didn't want more recommendations to put on her shelf and probably never touch.

"Ā youĀ seeĀ damienĀ muchĀ overĀ thereĀ ,Ā inĀ theĀ erĀ ?Ā "Ā harrisonĀ can'tĀ helpĀ butĀ askĀ .Ā heĀ soundsĀ likeĀ aĀ desperateĀ manĀ ,Ā butĀ heĀ knowsĀ briaĀ won'tĀ beĀ oneĀ toĀ judgeĀ .Ā "Ā isĀ heĀ .Ā .Ā doesĀ heĀ seemĀ likeĀ he'sĀ doingĀ okayĀ ?Ā "Ā heĀ unscrewsĀ theĀ bottleĀ ,Ā relishingĀ inĀ theĀ satisfyingĀ popĀ itĀ makesĀ .Ā heĀ poursĀ bothĀ ofĀ themĀ aĀ splashĀ ,Ā eyeballingĀ itĀ ,Ā thenĀ pouringĀ inĀ aĀ tadĀ bitĀ moreĀ forĀ goodĀ measureĀ .Ā "Ā hmĀ .Ā nothingĀ tooĀ excitingĀ .Ā newbieĀ touristĀ boughtĀ outĀ oneĀ ofĀ theĀ oldĀ warehousesĀ toĀ tryĀ makeĀ itĀ intoĀ aĀ raveĀ placeĀ forĀ theĀ coolĀ kidsĀ toĀ hangĀ outĀ inĀ .Ā didn'tĀ checkĀ anyĀ permitsĀ ,Ā paperworkĀ orĀ nothingĀ .Ā theĀ placeĀ usedĀ toĀ beĀ infestedĀ withĀ termitesĀ .Ā it'sĀ aĀ wonderĀ it'sĀ stillĀ standingĀ .Ā foundationĀ isĀ shotĀ toĀ shitsĀ .Ā "Ā harrisonĀ commentsĀ .Ā heĀ holdsĀ upĀ hisĀ glassĀ forĀ aĀ cheersĀ .Ā "Ā noĀ newĀ friendsĀ .Ā veryĀ unlikeĀ me.Ā "Ā heĀ half-jokesĀ .
"only ten." bria jokes, a teasing grin on her lips. then she nods, "yeah, i see damien sometimes. i think he's doing great! i don't hear any complaints and i've only ever seen him do really good work." she assures him, knowing she would be the exact same way asking questions if he worked with one of her kids, "you know i keep an eye out. in the most gentle, non-intrusive way possible, i promise." she picks the other glass, raising it to cheers with harrison's, "what are we drinking to? to having one free night to hang out for once?" she chuckles softly, "or to no new friends?"
she raises her eyebrows then, snorting, "nothing goes together quite as well as raves and termites. that sounds like a liability waiting to happen..." she takes a sip of the whiskey and clicks her tongue, "were you ever the rave type? i'm trying to picture it. and it's really making me laugh. no offense." bria grins at the man, teasing him, "or were you more of a punk rock mosh pit kinda guy?"
sheĀ wasĀ halfĀ -Ā asleepĀ whenĀ he'dĀ arrivedĀ ,Ā expressionĀ contortedĀ intoĀ confusionĀ āĀ cogsĀ slowlyĀ startingĀ toĀ turnĀ ,Ā opticsĀ squintedĀ asĀ sheĀ attemptedĀ toĀ lipĀ -Ā readĀ asĀ wordsĀ soundĀ muffledĀ asĀ sheĀ reenteredĀ consciousness.Ā "Ā didĀ youĀ sayĀ eggsĀ ?Ā "Ā sheĀ neededĀ toĀ doubleĀ checkĀ ,Ā unsureĀ whetherĀ herĀ brainĀ wasĀ playingĀ tricksĀ onĀ herĀ still.Ā heĀ wasĀ talkingĀ tooĀ fastĀ forĀ herĀ toĀ keepĀ upĀ withĀ toĀ beginĀ withĀ ,Ā handsĀ liftingĀ toĀ wipeĀ theĀ sleepĀ fromĀ herĀ eyesĀ andĀ thenĀ toĀ brushĀ outĀ theĀ bedĀ -Ā hairĀ sheĀ knewĀ sheĀ had.Ā "Ā shouldĀ beĀ someĀ inĀ theĀ fridge.Ā "Ā sheĀ pointedĀ toĀ itĀ ,Ā soonĀ raisingĀ toĀ herĀ feetĀ butĀ needingĀ toĀ steadyĀ selfĀ beforeĀ sheĀ attemptedĀ toĀ walkĀ anywhere.Ā "Ā whatĀ aboutĀ aĀ KITTENĀ ?Ā "Ā Ā
"yeah, eggs." he nodded, locating the carton and pulling them out of the fridge. he set them on the counter, "want me to make you breakfast too?" it was the least he could do after stealing pretty much all of her eggs. he started moving around her kitchen like it was his, locating a pan and turning on the stove's burner. "yeah, i saw a kitten. it had gotten separated from its mom." he explained, "so i reunited them." obviously. then he asked, "i've been thinkin' about it... getting a kitten, i mean. my allergy's not really that bad, y'know? should i get one?" he asked, bright grin on his face.
š¼ććāĀ oh,Ā hiĀ bria!Ā āĀ tatumĀ greets,Ā glossedĀ lipsĀ curlingĀ intoĀ aĀ warmĀ smileĀ asĀ sheĀ scootsĀ overĀ toĀ makeĀ spaceĀ forĀ briaĀ toĀ sit.Ā āĀ i'mĀ supposedĀ toĀ beĀ meetingĀ aĀ friend,Ā like,Ā twentyĀ minutesĀ ago,Ā butĀ iĀ guessĀ they'reĀ runningĀ aĀ bitĀ late,Ā āĀ sheĀ respondsĀ withĀ aĀ courteousĀ laugh,Ā returning her attentionĀ toĀ herĀ phoneĀ toĀ typeĀ outĀ aĀ quickĀ messageĀ toĀ theĀ friendĀ inĀ question.Ā āĀ theĀ humidityĀ canĀ beĀ tough,Ā butĀ iĀ doĀ thinkĀ it'sĀ worthĀ itĀ forĀ theĀ sunshine.Ā ifĀ iĀ hadĀ toĀ choose,Ā i'dĀ ratherĀ sweatĀ underĀ theĀ sunĀ thanĀ inĀ aĀ stuffyĀ gym.Ā i'dĀ beĀ gettingĀ myĀ doseĀ ofĀ vitaminĀ d,Ā too.Ā ā
"if they stand you up... just let me know who i have to fight." bria jokes, a soft smile on her face. though, if the occasion arose, she'd probably might someone for tatum. it's that maternal instinct. she chuckles, "i guess you're right. plus, i can't really complain about the humidity when i actively choose to keep living in florida. at that point? it's on me." she tightens her ponytail, fanning herself with her hand, "maybe i should've tried someplace cooler, like denver? maybe seattle?"
āĀ no,Ā notĀ atĀ all!Ā please.Ā āĀ Ā sheĀ shufflesĀ upĀ aĀ fewĀ moreĀ inches,Ā makingĀ sureĀ toĀ giveĀ briaĀ aĀ comfortableĀ amountĀ ofĀ spaceĀ toĀ recoverĀ fromĀ herĀ run.Ā corinneĀ laughsĀ atĀ theĀ mentionĀ ofĀ theĀ humidity,Ā noddingĀ herĀ headĀ inĀ aĀ familiarĀ wayĀ thatĀ indicatedĀ sheĀ knewĀ exactlyĀ whatĀ theĀ otherĀ wasĀ talkingĀ about.Ā Ā āĀ that'sĀ whyĀ iĀ stickĀ toĀ myĀ coastlineĀ walks,Ā thatĀ seaĀ breezeĀ isĀ anĀ absoluteĀ lifeĀ saver.Ā that'sĀ whatĀ iĀ wasĀ justĀ doing,Ā actually!Ā just thoughtĀ i'dĀ sitĀ andĀ watchĀ theĀ worldĀ goĀ byĀ forĀ aĀ littleĀ bitĀ beforeĀ headingĀ home.Ā ā
"yeah, that's why i try to stay as close to the water as possible without actually ending up on the beach." bria chuckles softly, relaxing against the bench as she catches her breath. she nods then, "that sounds pretty nice." though, bria is historically horrible at just sitting, she doesn't know how to stay still for too long. "places like this always have the best people watching, huh? all types of folks." her eyes land on a person dressed as superman rollerskating backwards down a path, "like that? can't see that anywhere else!"

āĀ iĀ thinkĀ weĀ mightĀ haveĀ hadĀ theĀ sameĀ ideaĀ ,Ā āĀ miloĀ repliesĀ coolyĀ ,Ā justĀ aĀ touchĀ outĀ ofĀ breathĀ .Ā he'sĀ notĀ necessarilyĀ aĀ runnerĀ typeĀ ofĀ guyĀ ,Ā butĀ heĀ can'tĀ denyĀ theĀ rushĀ heĀ feelsĀ whenĀ it'sĀ allĀ saidĀ &Ā doneĀ .Ā thoughtsĀ clearĀ ,Ā heartĀ racingĀ .Ā heĀ leansĀ overĀ theĀ edgeĀ ofĀ theĀ benchĀ ,Ā eyesĀ squintingĀ underĀ theĀ sunĀ raysĀ .Ā āĀ whatĀ pathĀ didĀ youĀ takeĀ ?Ā iĀ feelĀ likeĀ iĀ haven'tĀ reallyĀ foundĀ myĀ strideĀ hereĀ yetĀ .Ā unlessĀ iĀ wantĀ toĀ driveĀ outĀ toĀ emeraldĀ pointĀ āĀ whichĀ iĀ neverĀ wantĀ toĀ doĀ .Ā ā notĀ toĀ mentionĀ theĀ wholeĀ beingĀ bannedĀ fromĀ theĀ groceryĀ storeĀ overĀ thereĀ sortĀ ofĀ thingĀ .Ā
"great minds." she quips with a grin on her lips, leaning back against the bench, "i really like the path that takes you by the water. as close as possible without running in the sand, you know what i mean?" as milo continues, bria laughs, lifting an eyebrow, "do i wanna know what got you banned from the grocery store? or will it implicate me in a crime?" though, now that she's heard the first part, she knows she has to hear the whole story.
"It's not often you see me sitting on a park bench and not in a waiting room, huh?" Mateo grins, gesturing to the space next to him even though she's already taking a seat. He would never have said no anyway, and he's sure she knows that. "Running in this heat is the best time to run, get a good sweat going." Plus, it'd been a good day for his knee, something that felt like nothing more than a coin toss these days ā he'd be on top of the world one morning, and then spend the next curled in bed until the sun had already started to set again. It's probably overdoing it at times like this that cause that, but he's not ready to admit that to himself just yet. "The fresh air is good for us, right? Seems like you should know that, Doc." He teases, leaning back against the seat. "I'm just stretching my legs. Enjoying the day while it lasts. Got bored at home, to be honest. There's only so much television even I can watch."
"I know, I'm honestly relieved." She teases, glancing over at Mateo with a grin, "We should meet like this more often." As much as she appreciates seeing a familiar face on a stressful, busy day in the ER, she'd also prefer to not see people she cares about in pain. It's how she's sure she's a doctor for the right reasons and not a victim of Munchausen's by proxy or whatever. She hums, nodding, "Yes, fresh air is great, but heat exhaustion? Not so much." Though, she's nowhere close to that worn out. "Well, hey! Better to go outside when you're bored than wasting away at home. Your knee could atrophy." She's kidding, of course, but she doesn't want to pressure Mateo too much to push himself too far, "How is the knee these days? You haven't been at the ER this week, so I have to assume good." Bria chuckles softly.
š¼ććāĀ soundsĀ likeĀ youĀ knowĀ fromĀ experience,Ā āĀ tatumĀ teases,Ā thoughtĀ sheĀ wouldn'tĀ putĀ itĀ pastĀ him.Ā herĀ gazeĀ flickersĀ towardsĀ theĀ catĀ besideĀ hers,Ā oneĀ withĀ aĀ similarĀ furĀ patternĀ andĀ eyeĀ color.Ā āĀ iĀ thinkĀ they'reĀ siblingsĀ āĀ ifĀ youĀ adoptĀ thatĀ one,Ā weĀ couldĀ haveĀ matchingĀ cats!Ā ā
"well, i found a turtle when i was a kid. it lived in a box under my bed for, like, half a year. then my mom found it and made me let it go. but shelery and me had a good run." he nods slowly, as if reminiscing. then, he grins at the blonde, "okay, but... if we get sibling cats, they gotta have fun matching names." and he'll have to get a benadryl prescription. "like shrek and donkey or somethin'."
harrison'sĀ mouthĀ opensĀ ,Ā shockedĀ atĀ thisĀ betrayalĀ .Ā "Ā judasĀ .Ā "Ā heĀ commentsĀ ,Ā almostĀ immediatelyĀ .Ā theĀ cornersĀ ofĀ hisĀ mouthĀ twitchĀ asĀ heĀ shakesĀ hisĀ headĀ inĀ disbeliefĀ .Ā "Ā isĀ thatĀ meantĀ toĀ beĀ aĀ prankĀ onĀ meĀ ,Ā orĀ somethingĀ ?Ā "Ā heĀ tucksĀ hisĀ handsĀ underĀ hisĀ underarmsĀ .Ā "Ā youĀ couldn'tĀ haveĀ justĀ toldĀ meĀ whatĀ storeĀ toĀ buyĀ themĀ fromĀ inĀ theĀ firstĀ placeĀ ?Ā isĀ thisĀ whatĀ doctorsĀ doĀ forĀ kicksĀ theseĀ daysĀ ?Ā "Ā harrisonĀ fixesĀ herĀ withĀ aĀ lookĀ ,Ā forĀ aĀ prolongedĀ momentĀ .Ā hisĀ eyesĀ meetĀ hersĀ ,Ā asĀ they'veĀ doneĀ countlessĀ timesĀ beforeĀ .Ā andĀ heĀ doesĀ smileĀ thenĀ .Ā "Ā yourĀ cookieĀ secretĀ isĀ safeĀ withĀ meĀ .Ā "Ā harrisonĀ promisesĀ insteadĀ ,Ā beforeĀ givingĀ aĀ nodĀ ofĀ hisĀ headĀ .
theĀ offerĀ toĀ joinĀ herĀ insideĀ isĀ oneĀ thatĀ harrisonĀ willĀ neverĀ turnĀ downĀ .Ā "Ā yesĀ .Ā andĀ yesĀ .Ā "Ā heĀ scowlsĀ atĀ theĀ tupperwareĀ ofĀ brick-cookiesĀ ,Ā andĀ doesĀ handĀ themĀ toĀ briaĀ thenĀ .Ā āĀ ifĀ youĀ lookĀ atĀ themĀ ,Ā you'reĀ notĀ allowedĀ toĀ sayĀ ANYTHINGĀ .Ā butĀ ,Ā yeahĀ .Ā alrightĀ .Ā ONEĀ DRINKĀ .Ā āĀ harrisonĀ isn'tĀ muchĀ ofĀ aĀ drinkerĀ anywaysĀ ,Ā butĀ it'sĀ beenĀ aĀ whileĀ sinceĀ himĀ andĀ bria'sĀ schedulesĀ haveĀ beenĀ alignedĀ enoughĀ toĀ spendĀ longerĀ thanĀ aĀ quickĀ 'Ā hiĀ 'Ā āĀ byeĀ āĀ .Ā Ā " Ā youĀ beenĀ busyĀ latelyĀ ?Ā Ā Ā almostĀ didnātĀ rememberĀ whatĀ yourĀ faceĀ lookedĀ likeĀ .Ā Ā āĀ
"no! i just wanted you to believe that i actually knew how to bake like that." she assures him, still chuckling, "but i am pretty entertained, so maybe i'll do this for kicks more often? almost as exhilarating as setting a broken leg." bria teases, leading the way toward the kitchen, the brick-cookie tupperware under her arm, "are they a biohazard? because there's specific trash for that." she sets the container on the counter, deciding against taunting him by opening it to reveal whatever monstrosity he's made just yet.
she moves to grab two glasses from the cabinet, "yeah, it's just work. been pulling the late shift at the er a lot more recently." she sets the glasses down for him to fill, "well, plenty of time to remember my face now. take it alllll in." she waves a hand under her face, slightest trace of a smirk on her lips. she could say, it's nice to see your face too, because it is. it always is. but instead she says jokingly, "what a horrible thing to forget." she leans against the counter, "what about you? any fun projects lately? work site disasters i would find interesting? make any new friends? are they cooler than me?" she lifts an eyebrow at the last question, telling herself it's motivated by pure curiosity.

finding time to exercise with her schedule is difficult, but sometimes she can time a morning run in the park just perfectly post-shift. it makes it even easier to sleep after a long night of hard work. and as bria finishes her run, she spots a familiar face, waving as she pants and walks closer, gesturing to the space on the bench beside them, "mind if i sit?" she sits anyway before they have a chance to fully respond, "i always think it'll be nicer to run outside than run on the treadmill, but then i start running and i remember humidity," she shakes her head, a soft chuckle passing her lips, "i never learn." she glances over at the other, "anyway, what brings you out here in this heat?"
