Durr Monkey mining coal at the top of a mountain. I think coal mining above ground, where you can easily find it, is one of the best ways to get XP in the early part of the game.

I spot trouble ahead, across the river. A band of pillagers has spawned in the mountains, near my little mountain house.

Heading home from the mountains after a long day of outdoor mining for coal. I like it when I spawn in a mountain zone in Minecraft. It’s very easy to find coal above ground if you run around the mountain area and just look for spots where the coal is visible. It’s also a very fast way to get XP.

Llamas in Minecraft can be captured with a lead, but you cannot tame them and ride them like you can with horses. That’s too bad, because Durr Monkey would look pretty fantastic riding a llama into the sunset.
