Jack at age 27 has spent the past 6 years traveling dragonback along with his sister, Emma. He had to alter his outfit from his traditional wear to better suit the harsh climate of the Barbaric Archipelago but has a strong immunity of the cold thanks to magic.

I went through a couple ideas in regard that Jack's appearance would be altered. He was raised in ancient african civilizations so forests grasslands and deserts aka he lived in a loincloth. Man is comfortable in his skin and likes to show off, he needed attire that's easy to move around and assimilating elements of his dragon, his arm warps are Skyveil scales.

Jack and Emma Overland originate from Valencia, Spain; though in HTTYD, they're from the southern islands close to the equator, hence the dark tan and curly hair. The duo were raised as Pirates by former Pirate Captains turned married couple.

Any Pirate, Sailor, or Trader is known for their high tales and most don't believe. However, connecting them to the right tales leads to forgotten discoveries waiting to be found.

As such, Jack meets with the riders much older, 27, along with his sister, 16. Their appearances have altered even more from 6 years ago. The duo has been traveling together under a new banner called Dragon Pirates.

Jack rides a LightFury named SkyVeil, who was a captured dragon on Grimmel's ship, while Emma rides a Windgnasher who was lived on a winter-based island.
