Why makes Barbara a great Character and a flawed Mother
Barbara is a protective mother on her Son and trying her best. Barbara is flawed mother because of Jim Lake Sr ditching her and Jim it make her work extra hard to Jim that often make her unwillingly make her neglectful towards that Push Jim to protect her. however Barbara is trying to understand Jim as much as she can but it's hard when even he Start lying to her i know she gave him the silent treatment but it doesn't justify how he behave towards her form her POV. we know he is the trollhunter but she doesn't know.
on Side note i do understand the anger towards a bit better then characters like toby and such with how she is treated Jim is she his mother however i still think we Should look on Both Sides
however her attacking Angor rot while Stupid come form motherly instincts it's easy for fans to criticize her because people only look form Jim's Pov but to her Some monster endanger her Son and she wanted to protected him.
Barbara reaction to Jim being the trollhuntrer is honestly realistic and played out very well,
i also think that despite Season 3 being hella rushed her relationship with Strickler played out very well in Season 1 up untill Strickler revelaed
in the Show we Saw how much Barbara cared for Jim even if She wasn't the best for him. she is far better then Claire's mom and nobody call me otherwise.
