And i mean it could just be "scientist + convict mapping the Backrooms + this weird rock they found" au, but i think "post-normal phm but simon is also there" would be funnier.

Like, maybe Grace's little biodome house gets a Backrooms entrance somehow because it registers as "Earth" still, and then they find out that a bunch of humans ended up moving into the Backrooms to escape the global freezing despite the dangers, and they end up making a route between the biodone and Earth through there?

Grace: "okay this is a convenient way to move between planets but i don't think people should actually be living in here how about we set up some more biodomes on Erid and you guys come live with me until Earth recovers?"

Simon: "fine I'll help you people map out the Backrooms at least i don't have to do it in a sub-" *gets assigned to the pools area* "FUCK"

After sifting through hundreds of photos... I have realized that every time Simon takes a photo in the SM-13, he's pulling up a frame to a stop motion animation.

And it can be played back as video.

So, I took each black box photo and compiled them together. You can now watch Simon's entire journey from the SM-13's camera like found footage.
