Something I've been thinking about for awhile now. I am someone who was pretty enmeshed in this whole saga and have insight into it, as a participant in the discourse and as a trans woman who deals with transmisogyny.

I do not agree with the screenshotted posts here, I am not here to say that ISFF was 'correct actually' or argue with you. I have publically pushed back against her takes here, as well as had private debates with her where we could not come to an understanding. I find the entire idea of 'pedophile' being a 'legit sexual orientation' completely false. Infact I'd go so far as to say that the spectre of the 'pedophile' as we know it, a dangerous sexual predator who just can't help but prey on children, is not something that actually exists. The entire framework of paraphilias is not something worth 'reclaiming' no matter how you slice it. The idea that you can be sexually oriented towards children/minors and that orientation is akin to being gay or lesbian, is just not the case.

However. That's not really the point I'm trying to make right now.

I am going to continue to defend ISFF, because I can understand how and why she got to the place she did. I can see the terrible, twisted road of 'discourse' that might cause a trans woman to try and assert these incorrect things. And I can see that it is her trans womanhood that led to the explosion of discourse, mass stalking, mass harassment, doxxing, and all other manner of fucked up transmysogynist shit that TME people on this site gleefully sunk their teeth into. And continue to sink their teeth into!
