Soleil:
Okay, so. Lemme lock in. Soleil is a French sapper, first of all. For his personality, he's just an absolute ray of sunshine. He can be shy at times, but his default setting is just pure joy. Very cutesy. He's not exactly super muscular, but he's well built. He's kinda slim, js cuz of genetics. Despite this, he is strong, though. He grew up on a farm, with like five siblings, and normal parents. His dad was a little irritable, but it wasn't like he was abusive. Unfortunately, since he's a man and was 19 at the time, he got drafted into the war, which ended in the blight. His first impression of the blight was from a magazine, but he thought it was kinda just like... He thought it was just a lie to get people to read the magazines. His SECOND impression, however, was when he was with his platoon (or whatever it's called). They were heading back to base when zombies came outta nowhere. GASP. They basically ate his entire platoon besides him and three others who managed to run away. He ran cuz he was a coward, and feels eternally guilty for it, which is so fun. He met my second oc in Westminster at a refuge thing. I'll explain that in the other thing. Soleil had been located in Westminster when his platoon was murdered, so he already had a pretty solid idea of where to go. Eventually, he wandered over to the refugee camp or whatever it's called, and ya.
Emil (Pronounced Eh-meal):
Emil is a Prussian surgeon (I KNOW I KNOW iT'S OVERUSED. GIMME A BREAK.). He is the OPPOSITE of Soleil. He's perpetually bored, indifferent, and utterly and entirely SERIOUS 😤😤😤. He isn't as strong as Soleil, but he's far more clever. He was lowk under the command, or in the same thing as Karl and Blucher (I'm too lazy to cnp the accented u every time in Blucher so it's gna be typed off) but when Blucher disregarded the order of like.. Dropping the war to deal with the zombies, Emil just... He just left. He ran away. Why? He believed he'd have a better chance at survival if he wasn't being led by a blood-thirsty, vengeance-seeking old man. So now both of them were just wandering around. Emil is way smarter than he is strong, so he knew he should go somewhere that has a powerful military. He eventually made it there, albeit long after Soleil had, but whatever.
ONCE they met, Soleil got really attached, and js followed Emil around at first. Emil HAATED him for a LONG time. He only started to kinda like him platonically after Soleil helped defend the camp from zombies, and possibly saved multiple others. So they kinda js did whatever for a few months, I don't have a good idea of how exactly, yet, but they fall in LOVE 🥹🥹🥹
