(This is directed to creepy snake man.......I've been holding my tounge, watching my bestie whittle away, getting more and more stressed out with each passing day. Respecting my friends wishes to remain quiet and not cause chaos. Now....it ends here. GAME ON!!!)
Do you remember our dm a while back, creepy snake man? I was kind to you then. But I advised you that if something goes south, you would feel my wrath and be very sorry if this crossed my path again. Guess what, sweetheart? It crossed my path again and now you have a reckoning to bear.
What the absolute fuck is wrong with you??? How demented you must be to claim such ignorance of social skills, to then turn around and be cunningly manipulative in a very mean and cruel way. I know your type. I know your game. You are not fit to crawl out from underneath the rock of misery that buries you. I had a very bad vibe from you right out of the gate. My instincts are always correct.
I don't wish any bad things upon you, that is immature. You have your own "health" issues and guess what, karma is a bitch. But as God is my witness....if you continue in your passive aggressive manner and keep hurting Shisui mod, I will hunt you down and make you wish you were dead. I promised you I would do just that and I NEVER go pack on my promises. You remember I said this to you before, yes? I HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE. Block me. Have tumblr ban me. I WILL FIND YOU, YOU SLITHERING PIECE OF SHIT. That will be your worst day....ever. And THAT is a promise!
To think I kept you back from unleashing your fury.. I love you lady. Without you I would be lost. Without your stone cold loyalty and principles and your adamant refusal to stray from your gut feeling, we all would be lost. You have shown me this time and time again.
I wish I had listened to you I really do. Yet another fiasco Ari gets herself into. The number of times you've saved us..
This came from ME.....just so we are clear
@mikoto-uchiha mod For you on your Day. Homegrown Roses that are as beautiful as you darling. π€
Oh, how beautiful!! Thank you, Shisui π I had no idea you were such a gardener!
"Grandma.."
Sin rubbed his red, wet eyes, sniffling and hiccuping, his little frame trembling. Tears stained his round cheeks. He stood there uncertainly, he just wanted a hug..
Mikoto's expression softened the moment she saw him. Without a word, she knelt and opened her arms.
"Come here, Sin."
The instant he reached her, she gathered him close, one hand cradling the back of his head while the other rubbed slow circles between his shoulders. Her heart was breaking, as she wondered what could have upset him so much.
"Oh, sweetheart..." she murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to his damp hair. "You don't have to ask for a hug. You can always come to your grandmother."
She held him as long as he needed, unconcerned by the tears soaking into her clothes.
"It's all right," she whispered. "Cry if you need to. I'm here, and I'm not letting go until you're ready."

Mikoto stay hydrated! There's a heat warning over the next week. Make sure the cat is inside.
Yes, my love, I will make sure Prince and Princess stay indoors. I hope the garden will make it through the heat, I am concerned. Pray for rain π€π
πππππ‘π,
I haven't written a letter to you since before we were married. This is unusual for me. I wanted to write to you from my station, as the men I am with are taking camp. There is no telling when I will have this opportunity again. I will write to you again at my soonest convenience.
I have fond memories of traveling with you, as soon as were wed. I remember it as clearly as I remember this morning's events. I remember traveling as far as the cliffs on the edge of Suna, and looking down on the plains of sand for miles. I remember being ambushed by mercenaries at the border between Suna to Iwa. You were there to fight along with me, and you fought more fiercely than I did.
Motherhood had come to you quickly. It changed you to be more beautiful and resilient than I could ever imagine.
Our years being husband and wife did not surrender my love for you, and death did nothing but bring you closer to me. We have walked through the valley of death together, and nothing could prepare me to return to the living with you at my side again, but here we are.
Nothing will ever separate us, my love. Happy Birthday.
Yours Truly,
ππΆπ¨π’π¬πΆ
He sent the letter along with a small velvet box inside which housed a ruby and diamond 14k gold ring.
Mikoto read the letter with a softness that only Fugaku could draw from her. Each line settles somewhere deep in her chest, warm and aching all at once, because this is him in a way so few people ever get to see. Unguarded, certain, loving without reserve. What touches her most is the way he remembers her. As his wife, a mother, but also as her. Fierce, beloved, unchanged in his eyes no matter how much life and death have tried to reshape them both.
And all at once, she feels young again. Loved again. Chosen, in the same quiet way he has always chosen her.
She admires the beautiful ring and decides to wait for him to return home to slip it on her finger. His tenderness settles deep, leaving her with only one aching thought.
Fugaku, you have loved me so quietly all this time. And still, somehow, you make it feel new.
Shisui stands outside their door, hesitating. He doesn't even knock, just stands there with his hand poised to knock, but his knuckle is a hair's breadth away from the door.
Mikoto paused in the middle of what she was doing. At first, she paid no mind to the distracting twitch. The flat settled around her with its familiar creaks, the quiet breezes of evening slipping through the rooms. But a moment later, something tugged at her attention.
Someone was outside.
She set aside the rag in her hands and tilted her head, listening. The chakra beyond the door was familiar enough that her heart recognized it before her mind did. A small smile touched her lips.
Shisui.
She crossed the room and opened the door before he could finally convince himself to knock. "There you are." Her expression softened as she looked at him standing there, hand still half-raised. "You've been outside for longer than you've been deciding whether to knock, haven't you?"
Stepping aside, she held the door open. "Come in, dear. Why the hesitation?"
He smiled, uncertainly. He knew by the time she turned to come to the door, he had decided to go through with it.
"Hello!" He smiled. "Hello Mikoto san.. I was wondering if you had time.. I had something I needed to speak to you about." He paused again. "That is if he's not home.." THAT man.. Shisui was not in the mood for him.
Mikoto's expression softened immediately.
If he's not home
The concern in his voice was so familiar that she couldn't help but smile. "No," she said gently. "He is not here. It's just me."
She stepped aside and rested a hand briefly on Shisui's shoulder as he passed, a small gesture of welcome. "You never have to ask whether I have time for you, Shisui."
The words came naturally, as though they had always been true. Once he was inside, she closed the door and turned back to him. He looked nervous, as if carrying something heavy. Her heart ached a little at the sight.
"Come, let's sit down." Her voice was soft and warm. "You don't need to rush through it. I know you, Shisui. If you've come here, then whatever is troubling you is important, and that matters to me." A gentle smile touched her lips. "So tell me, what's on your mind?"
Shisui gratefully accepted the welcome, and stepped in, taking off his shoes and setting them aside. He was relieved Fugaku san wasn't around.
"Well first of all, happy birthday to Itachi, as Itachi's mother and the woman who gave birth to him, you deserve the praise of bringing him into this world." Also because Itachi wasn't here.. but that wasn't why he came here to talk today.
He sighed, glancing around. He hated stalling and he was an impatient guy, so he pushed forward.
"I came here because.. I'm getting married. And I'd appreciate if.. you gave me your blessing."
There he said it.
For a moment, Mikoto simply stared at him. The comment about Itachi earned a solemn reaction. "Thank you, Shisui. Though I think Itachi deserves most of the credit. He did all the difficult work of becoming the person he is."
Then, the words sunk in. Surprise flickered across Mikoto's face. "Oh, Shisui. You're getting married?" There was pride in her voice, the same pride a mother might feel hearing wonderful news from one of her own children.
"Come here." Before he could protest, she drew him into a brief embrace, one arm wrapping around his shoulders. When she finally pulled back, her hands remained on his arms. "Of course you have my blessing." The answer came without hesitation. "You never need to ask for it."
Her smile trembled with affection. "Now tell me everything." Her eyes sparkled. "Who is this person that's managed to convince Shisui Uchiha to settle down?"
Ooooooooooooooh gosh wasn't going to like his answer, and he wished she did, he very much wished she did. He fiddled with the silver engagement ring on his finger, finding some strength from it being there.
Shisui sighed again, looking anywhere but at her. "It's.. a man. No surprise there. He's.. a bit of a.. has a certain reputation." He was pretty much evil in every respect, except with him. So this would take some persuading.. "I know you won't approve, and tell me I deserve and can do better.. than a man who's responsible for so much death and misery." Well, so was Obito, Mr. Genocide himself, and she got along famously with him.
Mikoto didnβt respond immediately. The change in him was obvious. The way his gaze dropped, the way his fingers fussed at the ring as though it might anchor him to the courage he needed to keep speaking.
When he finally finished, she didnβt react with shock. Instead, her expression softened. "Shisui. Iβm not going to tell you that you deserve better. That isnβt my place."
She took a small step closer, not invading his space, just closing the distance enough that he couldnβt disappear. "But I am going to ask you something important."
Her eyes searched his face gently. "Are you safe with him? And are you still yourself when youβre with him? Or are you someone you have to become just to be loved?"
Her voice softened "I donβt care what reputation he carries outside this room. I care what he is when heβs with you. Because that is the only part of him that will ever truly matter to me, when it comes to your happiness."
He breathed out softly, considering her words.
"I am.. safe with him," He understood the deeper meaning in her words, more so than he let on. "He makes me feel very safe." At times.. he did feel safe. He did.. did he have nightmares? Shisui had nightmares about everything.. even Itachi. Hell he had nightmares about Fugaku san chasing him down with a butcher's knife. "Oh I'm more myself with him than I am with anyone, we.. we understand each other in a way.. I'm, I'm truly in love with him. I care about him deeply. We spend hours just talking.. I wanted to add, I proposed to him. It wasn't his idea you see he.. he doesn't rush me, he accepted only after making sure I was perfectly fine with it. I know there's an age gap but.. we're both experiencing so much, together. Maybe if.. maybe if you met him, I can arrange a coffee date between the three of us." If only that ended well..
Mikotoβs attention never left Shisui. "Iβm glad you told me," she said gently. "And Iβm even more glad youβre happy." Her smile warmed at the nervous offer of a meeting.
"A coffee date?" she echoed softly, a fond light in her eyes. "Shisui, you donβt need to arrange something like that so cautiously. If you want me to meet him, just ask. What matters to me is you. Not how this looks, or what anyone thinks of him."
Her voice lowered, becoming steadier but even kinder. "If he makes you feel safe, if he makes you feel like yourself, then Iβm not going to stand in the way of that. I would never take happiness away from you out of fear."
A brief pause, her gaze gentle and unwavering. "I would like to meet him," she added softly. "Just to understand the person who makes you smile like this."
"And Shisui, you donβt have to earn my blessing. You already have it. Always"
He was relieved. Now if only..
"That means a lot. Please don't share any of this with HIM.. I'm also here to invite you to our wedding.. Which I am planning, we haven't set a date yet. But.. Fugaku san will not approve so it's better if we leave him out of the discussion."
Mikoto smiled softly, as her expression grew a little more serious. "I'm glad you've found someone you love, Shisui. Truly. But there is something I need to be honest about." She sighed. "I don't like keeping things from Fugaku. You came here while he wasn't home because you were worried about what he might think. I understand that." Her smile turned sympathetic. "More than you know."
She glanced down briefly before looking back at him. "But he's my husband. If you're asking for my blessing, I don't want it to be something I gave in secret." Mikoto gently grasped Shusui's hand. "I'm certainly not withdrawing my blessing. I'm saying that if this person is important enough for you to marry, then I don't think your happiness should have to hide in the shadows." A fond look crossed her face. "So yes, I would like to meet him. And eventually, I think Fugaku should, too." Her smile widened slightly. "Perhaps not today, though. I suspect you've had enough terrifying conversations for one afternoon."
Shisui stands outside their door, hesitating. He doesn't even knock, just stands there with his hand poised to knock, but his knuckle is a hair's breadth away from the door.

Happy Birthday Mother. I'm sorry I'm a little late. I grew tomatoes in a pot. I know it's not a birthday type gift.. but I thought I'd share this with you. I love you.
SASUKE!!!!! You have nothing to apologize for. You came, and that's what matters. Those tomatoes are beautiful! And coming from you makes it a most appropriate birthday gift. Thank you, Sasuke. I love you too.

*6 year old Hidan holds out his arms for a hug*
Mikoto choked up for a moment. Not only because of the sweetness of the gesture, but what it reminded her of. She knelt down on the floor in front of Hidan and pulled him in for a hug.
"Thank you, Hidan, I love it and will cherish it." ππππ«π«π«π₯°
