Insidious behavior has an easier time hiding and passing itself off as normal if you dont directly name it. The fact that we stop at "problematic" so often, and even find it uncomfortable to elaborate, is a very intentional act of social engineering set by status quo. Dont rock the boat, dont name what you're feeling, tamp it down, hide behind an easier, less threatening word. Dont explain yourself, dont think, just feel gross and react, but whatever you do dont confront it THAT directly. Do it in a way that lets the rest of us brush you off, youre in polite comapny after all. Thats whats being relied on to allow the truest problems to persist.
