Something to always be reminded of. When I went to the market today, one I don't normally go to unless I'm feeling especially lazy, I opened the freezer in one section of an aisle and this was just sitting there against the item waiting greet me. I think it's so very wonderful that someone left that message to inspire whomever would discover it. I will pass the love on. Gratitude.

More of the other unused shots from such a special month back in April for the month’s campaign highlighting sexual abuse awareness. I enjoyed these so much. Left them untouched. Shot in red and rustics. Rustic things have usually been stressed at some point, sometimes sanded or stripped down in some way. But those flaws, chips, imperfections and chaffing are what make them so beautiful and give them unique character and a story to tell about the history comprising what they are and where they’ve been. Red is for Love and Love is…so many things too long to list. Well love can be laughter too. Someone had me laughing somewhere in the middle of this shoot. I intended to add more of these in April but just getting back to going thru the remainder of the shots again we didn’t end up keeping for this-one of my favorite springtime shoots. Rustic and red, in honor of sexual assault awareness month a while back and abuse survivors. I am thinking of putting a photo book together of personal reflections, quotes and poetry, beyond the awareness month. Everyday everyone should be loved without fear and pain of emotional, verbal, sexual or physical abuse in relationships. It takes courage and help on both sides sometimes to turn another direction and break perpetuating patterns. This shoot always reminds me of roses, one of my favorite flowers. Roses are red too and delicate flowers are meant to grow and blossom.
