12/23/16 || first off, it's been awhile. Lots of things have changed since my last post. As stressful as this week was, I found peace in going Christmas shopping for my family. I also hate doing things on my own but forced myself to go shopping alone. Walking around the mall around this time is so soothing. Everyone's in a good mood. People-watching never felt so interesting. Anyways, by going shopping for others, it really helped with my depression and instability. I'm proud that each year I'm in a better financial situation to get my family the things they deserve. It's not even the materialistic approach. It's the fact that I'm struggling mentally but still caring and thoughtful enough to try my best to make their Christmas. Not just gifts, but to be a better me for them and try to be myself again at home. It's been a weird couple weeks realizing this is my first Christmas without you. It obviously feels different but just surrounding myself with my family has got me through it. I really love the holidays. No matter what I'm going through each year, Christmas is so beautiful that it'll always blind me from reality which I love. In short, caring about others and getting them gifts has helped me cope with my issues.

4/20/16 || basketball has been my life since the age of 3. It has always been a dream of mine to play college ball and today was my first practice. It's surreal. One takeaway from today is I'm outta shape af. Gotta get better. I love this game.
