I still believe because of the things in the show, but I'm going to take a break from CG, the fact that we have only things that can be considered crumbs (and that for me are not even that much solid) it's just making me angry at this point. I really don't think any of this is ethical behavior on their part if this is true, and I don't find it genius or find this inspiring hidden meaning that people want to believe, I'm not having any fun and this is not how I want to spend my time
Their marketing has been terrible in general. Yesterday was another missed opportunity. Instead of keeping fans invested by highlighting some of the amazing Stranger Things side projects, they once again sent the message that all they care about is getting people to spend more money.
Like... what do you mean the behind-the-scenes book costs $195? That's genuinely one of the most expensive books I've ever seen.
At this point, people like you Dani and the handful of other CG truthers are honestly doing more to keep the fandom alive than the official marketing team. Meanwhile, Twitter is still stuck debating Mileven vs. Byler when, right now, that discourse doesn't even matter anymore.

Honestly, Finn made Mike a lot more likable than he comes across in the scripts. After reading them... omg.
In the s5 script, Will is describing his love for Mike as something that hurts him, worries him, and leaves him emotionally drained, while Mike often feels like he's just doing the bare minimum. "he understood" but then without Noah adding that tower scene you've say he doesn't care and doesn't want to talk about it.
I'm really torn. If Will were someone I knew in real life, I'd definitely tell him he deserves better than chasing after someone who gives so little back but at the same time, I don't even know what to think anymore because the Duffers completely changed what they had built for them in the previous season.
Even if CG ultimately leads somewhere meaningful, I’ll never forgive the Duffers for using such a harmful marketing strategy. Mocking fans and giving bullies more ammunition is not acceptable.
Having 70% of the fandom turn against you is not a success, even if there’s a bigger plan behind it. People won’t simply forget everything that happened over the past year. Good marketing should build excitement and engagement, not alienate a large portion of the audience while catering to only a tiny fraction of the fandom.
What frustrates me most is that they created an environment where people felt comfortable openly ridiculing and attacking us. That’s what I resent the most.

Today,I've seen a bunch of Bylers on Twitter saying that at first the Duffers didn't plan to make Byler canon(they simply wanted to have 2 people support each other because of their respective traumas) but then when they saw Finn and Noah's natural chemistry, they decided to use it against us. What's your opinion on that?
I currently believe in conformitygate so uh idk how to answer this exactly because I believe there's more coming for now...
I do think since season 2 they made the dynamic romantic regardless of what happens though, and if they wanted Mike to be portrayed as straight they failed miserably and are pretty stupid, especially after season 3. What they did in the show was pointing towards Mike not being straight even if I think he's bisexual so I think he also had feelings for El at one point, then in season 4 they made Mike do things that if you know anything about film you CAN'T read Mike as straight after season 4 because the choices do not make any fucking sense otherwise
Oh and we can't forget how many times Byler was intentionally and explicitly paralleled to romantic couples since season 2 and every season after, if they just wanted to portray Will as having only "a crush" they're incompetent as fuck
And if it turns out they intentionally wanted to queerbait then they're just evil motherfuckers that will feel the karma they deserve on their skin sooner than later, justice already started moving with the way they completely tanked the finale and have become the joke of the internet and it will only get worse for them unless conformitygate happens and they fix it... although I stay of my conviction that even if conformitygate is in fact real I will never forgive them, even if Byler happens they're dead to me, I have no sympathy towards any of them and never will ever again. this is the last project of theirs that I will ever watch even if they end up being "geniuses" <3
I think some Bylers are just trying to avoid feeling disappointed. That’s why they come up with ways to convince themselves that they were overthinking things and that Byler was never really there to begin with or that it was just Foah.
Yesterday, I even saw people saying that maybe it’s a good thing Netflix will keep milking the showbecause maybe, after the 15th movie, Byler will finally happen and we’ll all be happy.
But honestly… I don’t know about you, but if it’s 2055 and someone calls me to say Byler is finally canon, I’m not picking up. By then, I’ll have completely moved on and probably forgotten about Stranger Things and Byler altogether.
At that point, it would just feel like they dragged it out on purpose and used Byler as bait until the very end.
I really don't get how it is possible that the duffers always forget about Will's birthday/age when they post about it every year.

I never thought that somebody could create so many coincidences but not on purpose. Somebody should definitely analyse their marketing strategy cause there is no way their goal was to shock us in a bad way after telling us for years to analyze the show.
