one of the most special parts about the harry potter reunion was seeing the genuine love between the cast members — especially the golden trio. it means so much to know that they all have an endless love for each other and what they created together as not many film franchise casts have such intrinsic bonds like that after 20 years. and seeing daniel, rupert, and emma still cry over what their experiences mean to them was so cathartic. no matter how much time passes, they will always be an important part of each other’s lives much like how this magical world will always be special to those who adore it. how beautiful is that

Question for all my followers. How many of y’all are still wearing masks everywhere? And are you doing this because you’re mandated to or out of an abundance of caution?

one of my favorite things about katniss especially in the first book is that she is literally ALWAYS scheming. and like it’s a great character trait honestly because she’s super observant and aware of how she is being perceived, but it’s also fucking hilarious because she constantly assumes that everyone around her is the same way. like when peeta is crying after being selected and she’s like “hm. what could this strategy mean? is he possibly trying to look weak to trick me? won’t work on me you chiseled beast” LIKE KATNISS HES JUST SAD

I’m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got it’s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and it’s not just lead! it’s coliform bacteria! it’s THMs! it’s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising and petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and it’s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem

One of the most important things I learned in my Language and the Law class is that law enforcement will intentionally misinterpret every type of statement asking for a lawyer as not asking for a lawyer. Even directly saying it like this “I will not speak to you without a lawyer” can be taken as a simple statement of fact rather than a request for a lawyer. You literally have to state “I am now invoking my right to a lawyer” and every time they try to proceed with an interrogation you have to answer every question with “I am invoking my right to have a lawyer present”. You can’t just tell them you won’t talk without a lawyer or that you want a lawyer. You have to state that you are invoking your rights. Otherwise they could just say “well they just said they wouldn’t speak without a lawyer present. That’s not invoking their rights to a lawyer. It’s just stating a fact.” even just stating your right to a lawyer doesn’t count!
