Eminence products are a cult and casually skirting laws that are going to get people hurt and you can't convince me otherwise.
Self massage is hard because your body knows you're a little bitch and thinks it can outlast you but the solution is just to be a bigger bitch.

btw I’ve found these stretches from the WAK blog very helpful when knitting a lot:
Plus make sure to take breaks regularly - and stop if anything starts to hurt!
especially with gift knitting I know it can be tempting to push through it for a deadline, but it’s really not worth causing long term injury. (And anyone knit-worthy should be understanding of that, imho.) Stay well :)
Also good for artists drawing with pencils/on a tablet/with a pen!
And crocheters!
And massage therapists!
the spn drama could take a whole year to explain in the least so i’m good
I would armchair psychoanalyze them and they'd cry, not from the accuracy (which would be mid at best) but from the sheer unadulterated autism
The abuses of the US government in surveillance of its own citizens
Ok so WWI is a product of the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) back in 1830
OK, so it all started with Golden Bat way back in 1930...
I like golden bat

Aww yeah
Ok. So. There was this gorilla....
We could literally all rant about our jobs for hours, but I can specifically rant about the abuse the rotator cuff and underarm muscles suffer because of modern social norms, complete with a mini anatomy lesson and demonstration which would probably mean Iam permanently kidnapped because they'll never live without me.
Buying essential oils sure is fun, but it's an expensive hobby and I need to stop.

(poll)
if you could choose a part of your body to stop hurting permanently, which would you choose?
head
neck
entire back
wrists
shoulders
hips
knees
ankles
feet
something else i missed (tell me in tags)
... people have parts of their body that hurt permanently??? like is it really this common?
or is this a superpower poll and it means 'whichever body part you choose will never hurt again'?
Pretty sure it means "never hurt again" but I know people who have had a constant ache in their neck (limited mobility, too) for over a decade. A woman I work with had a dull sciaticy pain for years. My dad's kidneys are always a little sore. My college professor couldn't sleep more than 5 hours at a crack because his legs would get so painful from poor magnesium distribution. My landlord has three herniated discs in her neck and is in constant pain if she's not on something. Getting older comes with pain, especially when youth is rough, or you grow up thinking being in pain is normal, or a sign you worked hard (probably my least favorite thing from the exercise/pt/gymbro movement). If you don't give yourself a break, your body will break, but people in their 20s think they're invincible and don't stop like they should.
And I say this totally unambiguously aware that my knee is still fucked from a fencing incident five months ago and my sciatica could be triggered by just about anything and I'm working with hands so full on trigger points and fascial restrictions that my day starts and ends with at least a 3 on the pain scale every single day and I'm in my 20s and should absolutely take a break before I break but I don't because I figure I'll stop before I break myself because I know better (spoiler, I clearly don't).
Not actually high key weird. Psoas and iliacus are, in my professional opinion, the most overstressed muscles in the human body and I would high key recommend seeing a massage therapist who is known for their iliopsoas releases, with the caveat that you may cry or cuss or make reaction gif level faces going "I don't want to" (a la me, I just did a pelvic release on myself because it's Saturday and this is how I spend my weekends, living my best life).
Helpful (derogatory)
The person on the table I'm doing an iliac release on:
Me to the person on the table:
My knuckles that I just burned on the towel warmer and are now being crushed into the table by said person:
I’m convinced that LOTR wouldn’t actually be possible with 100% CGI use. Have you seen how CGI horses look and move? It looks utterly fake. No actual horse moves like that. CGI has become pretty good at dog faces and movement, but with horses they still fail, funnily enough.
Top red flag: people who say "I don't want to be any trouble" before starting a massage.
They absolutely will be trouble.

Hey can we collectively stop using the word dysfunction? Because your body isn't not functioning. You mishandled your body and now your body is doing what it was designed to do in order to heal itself. Carpal tunnel syndrome is not a dysfunction. It is purposely preventing motion to reduce inflammation and causing atrophy to reduce the strain in the carpal tunnel. Knee valgus is you putting too much strain on muscles and ligaments that can't support themselves and are redistributing the weight to muscles that can support it.
There are times when dysfunction is proper (like in autoimmune disorders), but 99% of the time, it's just us. Being stupid.
Look. Continuing Education hours are not just there to renew your license. CEs are there for you to learn and grow. Telling your employees that they don't need anymore CEs because it isn't a renewal year or because other CEs cover all your requirements is self-sabotage.
