What I like most about my essay is the effort. I think it is well laid out and organized, and it slowly brings the reader into the whole purpose of the analysis. It starts off giving them background on the content creator and the method I used. I also include visuals so that they can get a better understanding, too. what helps me get into a writing mindset
Studying music genuinely helps me get into a writing mindset. It allows me to block the world and focus on what I'm supposed to be doing. Sometimes I get distracted too fast, so having music on makes sure that no one can disturb me.

This graph is the final thing from my assignment that I would like some feedback on. This was a graph to show basically the conclusions that I came to based on my analysis. I found that behind-the-scenes tend to get more engagement than finished product posts. This graph is a big part of my assignment as it shows my main conclusion, so I wanted to make sure that it made sense. Is there anything I should add to make it more clear? Is the explanation underneath of the graph clear enough so that readers can understand and know what the graph is explaining? If so, what should I add and where to this to make it more accessible, and so readers can clearly see that this is the main conclusion I am making to my research question.
Hi! Did you do an analysis of the graph and what the graph reveals about the audience? if not, that would definitely be a way to tie the ending together. Also, I feel like having percentages on your graph would make it more believable and just better to understand overall. It also says "total engagement" but total engagement of what? is it the total of likes, comments, and shares? Being a little bit more specific will also help the reader follow along. Hope this helps.

Is my conclusion clear
The audience is willing to engage with several types of content, but the content will dictate to what extent. Content creators that offer different types of content can satisfy the needs of the community by posting different types of material. Consistent content creation to a specific niche audience can be a more productive strategy if applied correctly.
I think your conclusion could be clearer. I don't know the previous context, but you state "different types of mater" instead of saying you can add on by naming the types of materials. Also giving specifics of how this can satisfy the needs of the community and referring back to your analysis will help further your conclusion.

Does this graph appear to be accurate or should I set the left column at zero? Right now it starts at 75%, because the likes are that much "more" compared to the other content types. It seems like starting it at zero would make it almost impossible to see the small amounts of shares at the tops of the info and picture columns. #writ318mu #week4
I think that 75 makes sense after you explained it. I think if you don't change it to zero, you should put a little explanation about your graph and why you decided to make the graph the way you did. I am wondering what made you choose that graph because it is being stacked is a little confusing at first, instead of having the different colors side by side.

What is your 'go-to' video content??
My go-to video content is family channel YouTube videos. I like to watch family videos because I find it enjoyable to see other people's lives and what they do each day. I also like to watch challenges and vacation vlogs. I like to watch these when I just need a break from homework but don't want to watch something that i have to give my full attention to.
Digital Space for my Assignment
The digital space for my assignment is Facebook, yeah I know it may be considered old school but if it works then it isn't broken. I feel comfortable on that platform and it serves my use or need that I have had for content and information. I just used it this week to see if my trash was pushed back a day because of the federal holiday. A lot of my friends post on there their happenings and I receive wedding invites, birthday and other personal event invites. I like how I can click on something I like and save it for when I want it and am able to break the saves up into my personal categories. I find I use that a lot especially when I feel like experimenting new food recipes or I want to see what I can add to my flowerbeds. I also chose to pick sites that I use the most for myself. When I say most I mean over 12 times a year.
I think Facebook is a good digital space for this assignment. I think Facebook has a lot of elements that make it a good app, especially for web writing. On thread and "x" you look at text, on instagram your looking at images and videos, but on Facebook you have a variety of audiences. Many people go on Facebook to type their thoughts, to sell products on the marketplace, but they also have images and videos for entertainment as well. I think Facebook is more for connecting with people you know, whereas Instagram may be for connecting with people you've never actually met in person. I'm choosing Instagram because I'm doing art and design, and though I don't know a lot of artists personally, I do follow a lot on Instagram.
More than Numbers
The most important thing I learned is that I was mostly only reporting data, not analyzing. Analysis goes beyond the numbers and descriptions. I learned I need to really think through what the user experience is, who the users are, why the content creator made choices based on the data, etc. Assignment feedback was super helpful and I feel more confident in doing analysis for the Content Analysis Project. I think I was struggling to make the connection to the data and why the data was significant. How does that go beyond the numbers and what we can see? Also, something I struggle with is looking at the whole picture and making connections between key concepts. Like I would say, why the data was significant, but how does the information hierarchy affect the data AND the audience. Not just one or the other.
Insider Information
The analysis practice was helpful to keep my assumptions in check. Most of my college writing has been by using only words in APA format. Learning to analyze data by looking at audience engagement with likes, comments, and shares is helping me to see that data is more than graphs and charts. Noticing the number of likes helps me to think more about why the user valued the content enough to like it and value it even more to comment or share. This helps to learn what the users value (analysis) so more of the same can be done for content creation in the future. It has actually been fun to think of this new knowledge as insider information! #writ318mu #week3
I definitely agree to think and think that the analysis practice helped me view data in a different perspective. It also allows me to see how different types of content, information hierarchy, and so many more elements go into web writing. I think the data allowed me to see what the audience values and how the audience is also in the conversation when it comes to what type of content should be created. There is no point in a content creator creating content that is not valued and doesn't want to be seen.

My experience analyzing data to draw conclusions helps me with this project because it allows me to see different patterns in the different types of content so that I can analyze and discuss those topics better. Through the data of likes, comments and shares it is easier for me to show why something is working through qualitative data and then backing it up with quantitative data. This also helps me make connections between different posts because I'm able to discuss similarities and differences.

how are you narrowing your account choices?Â
I am narrowing my account choices based on what kind of content they produce. So for my analysis, I need a content creator who's an artist who creates posts and also videos. I want it to be eye-catching and something I would watch personally. Having a variety of different types of content helps with my analysis on if reels and process videos are better and more engaging than regular simple post that just show your work.
what digital soace are you planning on focusing on?
I am planning to focus on Instagram. Im doing this digital space because it is the one I am most familiar with, and I feel like I could give a good analysis on it. Also, I am focusing on art and design, and I feel like for my topic, I could get a good mix of posts along with reels and analyzing the difference between those two types of content and how that affects audience engagement.
