Hi Dr. P, @npfannen, I just had a few questions regarding writing skill development. How do I know that my writing skills have developed, what are some signs or some changes I would have made to show my progress? What are ways that I can continue to develop my writing skills after this class is over, both in terms of academic and web writing? I know that I am going to have to do a lot more writing, whether it is in the rest of my college career or during my actual career. I want to know how I can continue to advance my skills even when I am not being directly taught new ones like in this class.

The things that help me draft essays and get into the writing mood is putting my phone down so I can focus on the task at hand. I feel as though I get very distracted when my phone is near me and on, and it makes me less motivated. So putting my phone down all together helps me to finally draft my essay. Paying attention to my computer and making a list of what needs to get done gets me in the writing mood, if I feel motivated I will write something more meaningful that I will most likely use.

This graph is the final thing from my assignment that I would like some feedback on. This was a graph to show basically the conclusions that I came to based on my analysis. I found that behind-the-scenes tend to get more engagement than finished product posts. This graph is a big part of my assignment as it shows my main conclusion, so I wanted to make sure that it made sense. Is there anything I should add to make it more clear? Is the explanation underneath of the graph clear enough so that readers can understand and know what the graph is explaining? If so, what should I add and where to this to make it more accessible, and so readers can clearly see that this is the main conclusion I am making to my research question.

This is the second part of my assignment that I would like feedback on. this is my method section, where I go through the exact steps I took to collect the data that I did. I am unsure if I completed this section right, and if I have enough that readers would be able to follow these exact steps to get to the same conclusions I did. Is this enough wording and clear enough wording? Would there be anything that anyone would add to this to make it better or more clear? Was I specific enough with what I was stating, and if not where can I make changes to that? I want to ensure everyone who reads this section could follow it step by step, so I am trying to make sure it is written correctly and in a clear way.

This is the first piece of my assignment that I would like feedback on. This is the section where I introduced each off the creators I collected data and analysis from. For each of the three creators, I decided to do a little paragraph about who they are and what they focus on, so readers can see that there are similarities and differences between the three creators. I also then added a bulleted list of characteristics for each of the creator's to just sum everything up. What I would like to hear from peers is if this is a good way to go about introducing the creators, or if there is a better way I should do it. Should it be all paragraph, smaller paragraph and more bullet points, a complete different way, or just leave as is. Thank you guys!

I learned about writing a research question that can be answered through social media data + content strategy ideas that the question actually has to be reasonable and be able to be answered! This is really important because the entire project as well as your data revolves around the research question. If it is not something that is able to be answered then nothing will line up for the project and we would have a hard time completing the project itself. This will help me in this module to ensure that I am on the right start for my assignment. if I have a research question that I am able to answer through social media and my data, then I know I have written one that can be answered in this assignment.

I am narrowing my account choices by choosing accounts that interest me but at the same time is not something that I love or watch all the time. I feel like if I were to choose something that I watched all the time, I would get sick of it by the end of the project and maybe not like it as much. Because of this, I decided to go with cake and dessert baking accounts. The reason I chose these accounts is because while I do like cake, these are not the typical accounts that I visit on Instagram. I will be able to gather and analyze the data for these accounts without losing my love for them, because I simply find them interesting there is more wiggle room compared to an account I adore.

The digital space I am planning to focus on is Instagram. I chose Instagram because it is a space and app I am very familiar with, I have been using the app for a long time. I also believe there is a lot that can be collected within Instagram, as well as measured. Some of the data that can be measured and collected off of Instagram, are likes, comments, shares, reposts. Those are just some of the things. We can also look at the profile itself and look at the profile picture, the bio, the username, the followers, following, and so much more. I like Instagram because there is not just one thing you can look at, there is so much more to drive into and analyze!

Hi Dr. P @npfannen I am starting to take a look at the assignment for the next few weeks and I had a few questions before I start to dive in. What specifically are we taking data on? I know there is a data assignment that is due but I do not see any specifics on what data we need, so I am a bit confused on that. I am also wondering what the main difference is between the first and second drafts for the assignment, and what would have to be included in the first draft rather than the second one. I know that this is our final assignment so it is a big one, but I am a bit overwhelmed about it and everything that has to go with it, especially because there is 12 sections to the assignment, and there is a lot of data to be collected and analyzed.

I think that this color demonstrates my mood for throughout the week. Teal is a mix of green and blue, to me the blue represents happiness and calmness, but the green represents stress. I am happy this week but at the same time stressed about school, so I think this mix of colors describes my mood perfectly!
