I've yet to see a post talking about just how flirty Nigel was in this scene. the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.

Same anon who asked about Tom's portrayal of Byron here! I completely agree, I love how he included the limp and in another scene when he moves, one side of him moves first, then the rest, the physicality is just incredible! And I will always love the fact that whole shouting Percy's name angrily and then kissing Percy was improvised by Tom, it was mentioned in an interview by Douglas!! And personally I liked the mustache but I can absolutely understand why people wouldn't!!
I also really loved how he was inconsistent with how prominent the limp was, because that matches perfectly with not only accounts of Byron's movements, but with how hiding a limp actually tires out the muscles and leads to inconsistency in movements!
And omg I had no idea that was improvised, that's awesome! Love that he was like "Guess it's up to me to queer this script up. He's Lord BIron, not Lord STRAIGHTron, come here Douglas."
