steve holds a hand up to eddie’s face to dismiss his begging, still staring up at the ice cream shop menu. he’s definitely making a face that only a man who cannot see for the life of him would make.

“i don’t need them. i’m reading just fine.”

“i’m looking at your squinted eyes right now.”

“the air is… there’s cold air coming out of the window, it’s dry.”

eddie hangs his head in defeat before stepping up behind steve.

“if you struggle you’ll make a scene.”

steve’s eyes widen as eddie suddenly straps a strong arm over his chest from behind, holding him still as he pushes the wire frames onto his face. steve wiggles in the grip in protest, looking around them to see a few other customers standing about. he calms down when he ultimately realizes that eddie is right.

“you’re so lucky we’re in public, munson, you know that?”

eddie lets him go. “but you can see now, can’t you?”
