Wayne just shakes his head amused. His friends think he's crazy.

What's actually happening is that Steve lost a bet to Max and is supposed to be doing her chores for a month...except he walked into the wrong house three weeks ago and has been haunting Eddie ever since.

A couple years go by and Eddie returns to Hawkins to woo back the love of his life except.

Steves not there.

He calls around to his old friends and is promptly told to fuck off by most of them. He eventually gets Dustin to admit that Steve left town after his dad died and bought of plot of land in the middle of nowhere with his inheritance. He lives there now.

The middle of nowhere turns out to be a small farm.

There’s a little garden, some chickens, some sheep, and a very friendly donkey named - “You named your ass after me. How mature.”

Steve gives Eddie a look like he’s the biggest dumbass on the planet.

“Eddie Murphy,” Steve eventually says. “He’s named after Eddie Murphy because he played a donkey in Shrek.”
