So⦠Iāve been seeing a lot of introduction posts, so I guess itās a thing? Iāll do the thing.
Iām a 36 year old eclectic greenish, bookish, sigil(ish?) witch. As of now(ish) Iāve been practicing for 2 years. Iām firmly in the broom closet, mostly to avoid drama. (Iām too old for that shit and itās nobodyās business) Mercedes McGuffin is a pseudonymļæ¼. In my public life, Iām a small time urban fantasy author (this means I have an overactive imagination and love to tells stories. Iām a terrible proof reader and I have a fondness for commas and exclamation points.), a mom of 2 tiny tornadoes (ahem, little girls), an ex-hairdresser, and a lover of the unknown.
Iām just as comfortable with my nose in a book as I am in my garden (when itās not a balmy -3 degrees Fahrenheitļæ¼). I own too many cats (among other four-legged/feathered/finned family).
Sigils were the first type of magic I got into and is still one of my favorites to work with. Iām currently trying to find the magic in the mundane. As a mom, Iām always behind on housework (magazine housewife, I am not⦠maybe feral housewife) and finding ways to incorporate magic into every day tedium helps so much.
As a human being, Iām a sarcastic ball of anxiety (panic attacks⦠yup). I enjoy crafty things, crystals, Oracle/tarot/pendulums, research, and pro-authors getting paid for their work (pirating is something I can rant about quite profusely). Go ahead and ask me questions⦠I may not have an answer, but if I do, Iām happy to share.
Iām using this platform as a sort of grimoire/follow-my-journey tool/things-that-feel-magical/and fulfillment of curiosity.
