saw another person talking about how you can't expect someone to prioritize a friendship over a romantic partner because romance is just Built Different. do you hear yourself right now

currently it is like mostly slice of life stuff that is fairly chill albeit not exactly cozy, with the occasional hint of something more going on (the bakugan and their initial appearance and disappearance, the vestal government's insane control over mainstream media, and of course the impending invasion of wonder revolution- though mira won't know about the nature of that until it happens) but i so so badly want to get to the part where mira keeps spiralling into not only having to choose between her friends and her brother but feeling like she's failing both, and while her friends would forgive her, spectra keeps convincing her that they won't, they'd DESPISE her if they knew what she really was, but he might just forgive her if she gives up everything she's worked towards and joins him. telling her that the only place she belongs is with him. and this gets to her. my god does it get to her.

the most generous way i can describe hydron, as a person, as opposed to as a character bc imo he is very well executed (in both senses of the word), is "if i keep feeding people to the leopards then the leopards won't eat MY face!", except that ignores that he is 1. having a very good time feeding people to the leopards, and 2. benefitting from this in ways other than simply not having his face eaten by leopards
