The queer coding in AHDN, using John Lennon, the “tough” Beatle. I read an essay about the queer codes in this movie recently in a book called The Queer 60’s so it’s interesting that this post pops up now.

Edit: I use the word “tough” sarcastically since I’ve seen so many fans label John the “tough” one. False bravado due to insecurity and “acerbic wit” do not a tough guy make, but for some reason in fan discussions I’ve seen people label him “tough” so much.
