Memory Bypass

Obviously I'm no stranger to scientific experiments; the amount of time I spent voluntarily in labs in highschool alone made me teacher's pet. But despite the false rumor of smart people not catching colds, everyone does. And some people, like me, get absolutely horrible with them. Due to my completely fucked mucus glands, a cold will actually wind up giving me the same awful nausea and sensitivity that a stomach flu would. Only difference is the telltale throbbing and full head feel of a cold.

But during my intense cold I've noticed something...

3 smells I come across daily that made me feel instantly a bit better:

My cheap men's body spray, my deodorant, and, oddly enough, cat urine.

I know I know, weird. Very weird. And frankly kinda gross.

When I looked into it, I discovered they actually all 3 had shared ingredients. Which I would share but I want to be absolutely certain before I make a fool of myself. Since the effects are only temporary, my theory is that experimenting with these might produce a cure. I mean, I highly doubt anyone looked at cat pee and thought "this could be healthy to inhale" because... Well... It's stupid. But not all ingredients in cat urine is actually bad for you, it's just the cat urine itself that is. So isolating the specific chemical alone in safe quantities might actually produce results we're looking for.

Me: OH MY GOD GURL I GOT SO MUCH TO TELL YOU

There's just a point in the game where everything kills you and you will never survive because you won't have enough supplies for your people and not enough people to make more supplies.

Just a friendly reminder that if you come across someone of a high IQ and feel insulted by the way they talk to you, it's not meant to be insulting. Simply stop the person, politely, and remind them that they are not average intelligence and you are not below average.

The way a genius sees the world is they're average. They're normal. Just as you see yourself as normal, so too do they.

So when a genius talks down to you or treats you like an idiot, it's not meant to be rude or mean. It's simply because they forgot they're not normal and are really trying their best to avoid confusing you or sounding too smart. Yes, ironic as it is, a genius will come off sounding like a pompous know it all when they're actually trying to achieve the opposite affect. A genius will quote sources, not to sound smarter, but to try and pass off the credit to other people as a sort of "I'm not the smart on they are! Don't look at me..." They will use overly simple speech and vague terms because they actually want to talk to you.

It's easy to forget yourself. Even for genius.

So, next time someone smarter than you sounds like they're treating you like an idiot or talking down to you? Calmly and politely remind them they're not average intelligence, that you are the average. That you are not an idiot and can understand them to a higher degree than they give you credit for. Don't get mad, don't act insulted, don't yell. If you do, you will lose all chance of them ever thinking you're anything other than an idiot. It's important to remind them calmly, politely, and with a smile if you can. Smiles really make all the difference in getting a genius to recognize you're not an idiot.

My best friend has to remind me... More than I'd care to admit xD Despite my mensa qualifications, I tend to consider myself just average intelligence. So my speech can sometimes get REAAAALLLY dumbed down to offensive levels, or I'll get frustrated that someone can't understand what I'm trying so desperately to explain unable to figure out what I'm saying wrong. My best friend will stop me, smile or laugh, and remind me that I'm not normal. She winds up reminding me that she's not stupid more than I'd care to admit too...

We forget ourselves. A lot.

And when I say spectrum, I mean a literal spectrum. As in a scale. A line with a bunch of hashes that our dots all dance along on depending on what gender we are. And a lot of these "fake genders", as frankly idiots call us, are actually scientifically backed up.

So no, you can't argue with me saying my gender doesn't exist because "biology doesn't work that way." Because that means you don't know anything about biology or the scientific research that has gone into gender for a long time now.

Science. Backs. Us. Up.

It's a spectrum. A spectrum discovered by scientists who has studied the human brain's chemical mapping. Discovering there is in fact a varying degree of difference between male and female in the brain. That comes in various strengths or fluctuations.

At the ends of this spectrum either side are male and female. That small segment is referred to as cisgender, and are the basic chemical mappings. Pay attention to the fact I said the BASIC chemical mappings. It gets a lot more complicated than these two far ends of the scale.

Dead center of the spectrum lays the point between male and female, where the brain doesn't dip into either side. That is where the genderless people are. A neutral brain that is neither male nor female in any degree.

Genderfluid brains move up and down this scale from one end to the other, genderflux move up and down between one side and the very center.

Demigenders are here too. They are closer towards the middle, only slightly delving into the male or female halves of the spectrum.

Transgender has the same chemical map of a cis gender, the body just translated this wrong while in the womb giving them the opposite gender's body.

Obviously some "genders" aren't real genders, obviously I left some real genders out in this explanation.

The point is, many things are valid. But claiming science disproves more than two genders? That's not valid. That's ignorance of people who've never even glanced in the direction of science yet claim it as an excuse for their misinformed illfeelings towards people who are doing them no harm. That's ignorance of people who just want an excuse to hate those who are different.

Science is not an excuse, and it doesn't care about your feelings. Science proves more than 2 genders exist.

Its ㅋㅋㅋ not ㄲㄲㄲ.
