I have so many assignments due in Journalism it's insane.

Was going to make a bunch of blog entries here, but eh fuck it. 

--X-Mas Break--

Went lovely. Went back home and saw everyone I knew. It was so great to finally see family again and to hang out with them. I saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen since I left for college, it was great. A bunch of us old friends got together and just talked really. I mean, we still talk on Facebook and what not. But still, it was great to see them and catch up. I don't know, any of you kids that follow me think the same? 

--Kyle (My Roommate)--

Kyle's doing well. We had a bit of a falling out earlier in the semester, it got kind of ugly. Stupidly enough, it was over Kim -whom I'll get to in a minute-. But we eventually put it behind us and are still roommates. Actually, he's at a party on Cramer tonight that I thought about going to, but it's too late. Got side tracked with homework that was due at midnight so I'll probably just try to find something around here. 

--Kim--

Yep, as you read before Kyle and I got into an argument over her. He wanted to date her (which I had no idea about) but she wanted to date me. So yes, were dating. =D We've been dating since November something, don't get me started with exact dates. Anyway, life is good with us. It's weird, kind of like my first relationship thing so there's been a few downs. But it's mostly ups with us. She's hanging out with her friends tonight, which was totally cool with me. I think she wanted me to hang out after they got out of The Hunger Games movie, but I still wasn't finished with my homework. Ah, procrastination at it's finest. Anyway, the only real hard thing with us is, she still hangs out with her ex. She doesn't like him, but he still likes her. So it's always really awkward when he's around, even more when I'm around too. But we're doing really well for the most part so that keeps me going. 

--Second Semester--

This semester has been really easy, I think I got all the college gears going. This semester I'm taking Intro to Journalism, Social Psychology, Intro to Theater and Death and Dying. Yes, still no math classes.. Too nervous to take one! 

It's a Saturday night and I haven't even started partying yet! 

Woah, I'm actually writing on here? Yes, yes I am. 

I forgot all about this blog and have decided to get right back in it and write again. Lots going on that's for sure. I'll highlight them with a couple more entries. 

Anyway, yes last semester went pretty well. Believe it or not, I got a C+ in French. A lot of you might be, omg a C+ that fucking sucks. Well, screw you haha. I couldn't be happier! Class was extremely difficult and so much work. So yay me. Rest of my grades were great.

B+ in Intro to Psych (the teacher wasn't too bad as the semester moved along),

B in Intro to Macroeconomics. Unimportant class for my major and I really didn't give a shit. We had a 10 page paper due at the end of the semester. Welp, knowing me I waited until the last fucking day to do it... Yep, I wrote 13 pages (max was 14) in 6 hours. You know what? I still got a 84% on it! HAHAHA WOO! I got lucky. Or maybe I'm just that good of a writer? 

Finally, I got an A- in Intro to Film. Eeeeassssy class. 

Hello Tumblr world! I have not updated on here in about forever and a half! Yes, rather depressing, I know. But I have been so busy, college really does change a lot of things. So much going on and it's almost the end of the first semester. All my classes have kept be occupied, so that's my excuse. 

Well, there has been a little extra curricular activities as well. Haha, they've been great. 

Wow, this weekend was just, well crazy fun! Haha. 

Well, Thursday came and went pretty quickly. I actually did not end up going out as I usually have been the past few weeks since I have been here. Just was tired and school has been keeping me busy. So, meh forget it. Also it sounds like there was some drama between Kyle (my roommate) and his girlfriend so maybe it was best that I didn't? 

As it relates to the drama, it's been a little distorting to listen to them texting and arguing with each other last week so I needed a good weekend out! And that started Friday. On Friday I went to a party with one of my suitemates (is that what their called? Haha, they live in the same suite as me, but not the same room so I figure that's the term?). His name is Jeremy, great time haha. It was nuts. So we went to this house and there had to be like 75-100 people there and they had 3 kegs. Crazy, i know. I thought we were going to get busted for sure. But surprisingly we didn't. Anyway, they were the upper floor at the house and had a back balcony with a beer bong. The bong stretched all the way to the grass haha, it was two stories long! I had to do one, haha it was great. Kind of choked on it because the beer came shooting down so quickly haha but it was fun. Also won the beer pong tournament of 16 teams. Winner take all as well (it was $5 a person to get in) so I walked away with $80. Yay. 

Went to Qdoba and then on our way back I ran into Kim (she lives a few floors below us) and stumbled my way to her place. She told me that she was going to the Badger game the next day with her sister Kelly (who goes to Madison) and invited me along because they had an extra ticket. I guess her sister's roommate didn't want to go so I got her ticket. So, by the power of the beer pong gods, I had money to buy a ticket and boom! After passing out on her floor, I woke up around 5 and made my way back to my room and slept for another hour before I had to get up and get ready.

Saturday came and I rode with Kim her sister's place. It was a great ride, I really got to know a lot about her. Where she's from, what high school was like, dreams, goals in life. Really down to earth conversation. Hah, she's pretty cool. Anyway, got to Kelly's place and went to a place called State Street. I have never been to Madison, so correct me if I'm wrong but it's really amazing. No cars are allowed to drive down it and it's all students going around and just having a party time. We went to this bar called State Street Brats or something and her sister (who is 21) got us a few beer and shots so we'd get liquored up before the game. Good call. 

Game was great, Wisconsin owned up on South Dakota 59-10, like they should have. I was impressed with how the fun the games are. With dancing, cheering, swearing, drinking, jumping; seriously so much fun. UW just got a new fan and I'd love to go to another game soon! But it was really cool to be able to experience the game. After that we went back to Kell's and partied there for a while before Kim and I went out into town and rummaged around, eventually finding ourselves at another party. Ironically, there were 2 people there from my high school who I didn't really get along with (dumb jocks). But they actually recognized me and came up and talked. Just weird haha, I guess maybe that's how college is? That all the social cliques from high school are done with and everyone is just, everyone. That's how I've always seen it but glad that some other people are starting to have the same views. Well, after partying we went back to Kelly's and fell asleep. 

Next day, breakfast, headed home, hung out around the dorms, sleep. Haha. That leads me up to today where I haven't done much today and I probably should. I have a French exam tomorrow as well as class tonight so meh, we'll see. Might take another nap haha. 

Wow long post, sorry followers! Doubt you'll read this anyhow! 

So apparently my Psych professor died last week...

And this totally sucks because- 

A- I can't understand the new Professor.  B- New guy is giving out more papers. C- No more group project, now individual projects. D- This class has turned into one big snoozefest.

The guy that took over, I believe, is the guy I was told to avoid last spring. Blah, not cool!

French homework is le finished! Now Kim (a girl who lives a few floors down from my dorm) is trying to sweet talk Kyle and I into playing a few rounds of beer pong since we have beer. Yup, we have the booze stash because Kyle's brother is 21.

I got a lucky sting of luck having a roommate with connection over 21. A lot of kids under 21 hang around a block or two away from liquor stores and ask people "hey, are you 21? Could you buy us some!" haha. 

But yes, the question is to play, or not to play. I think Kyle wants to play but I don't know. I have class tomorrow at 9 and wanted to go to bed early tonight. I have been working a lot on homework lately and can't really afford to lose any ground on school nor sleep. Sleep, I remember being able to sleep comfortably without worrying about scholastics, people, or things to do. Back home. Sometimes I miss it. I love my freedom here, I love finding out the world on my own. But, I do miss summer and not having any responsibilities. I miss my parents making dinner for me instead of me having to make things or go out. Need to watch my money as well. Dear Responsibilities, I want a break.

SO, I think we are going to play. Kim's getting her roommates and we'll get the music bumping. Yes to girls and beer. 

Hello to the world of Tumblr! 

Yes, tonight is Wednesday and that means it's French homework night. Bleh. Oh well, it has to be done before tomorrow morning's class and thought it would be smart not to finish it 10 minutes before class haha. Not that I have done that much. But yes, not doing terribly in that class, got a 76% on my first exam. Eh, a C, I'll take it. 

Tonight wasn't bad. Went to Qdoba with my roommate tonight. His name is Kyle. Don't know if I already said that or not. But yeah, things are going pretty well here at UWM. There's a lot of cool people here, great parties, interesting sights. Life is good here. Glad I am enjoying it thus far. It is chilly tonight though, wow! 

Anyway, I never really introduced myself. I think I am over thinking about how to introduce it, so I'll keep it simple. Hi, my name is Blake. I'm a freshman at UWM and learning the college ropes as you read this. Yes, here on tumblr I'll be posting all of my rants about colleges as well as what I'm doing and so forth. 

So yes, glad that I am now up to 4 followers! WOW! haha, I feel loved. Thank you to those who follow me and are reading this right now. 

That's about it right now, Kyle is out so it's just me in this dorm sitting at my desk working on French homework. Rawr. Last night we had a small shindig here and it was a good time. Four Loko pong heh heh. Got messy in here and still smells of fruit punch, but it's not bad.

All right kids, I know I haven't really been posting on here. I think it's been about a week but wow I have been so busy lately. Class is officially starting to get the best of me and sleep is something I cherish so much haha. 

Just had the craziest last hour, tried to get a book from the bookstore but I was two minutes late to get there so boom; didn't get it for my next class. And I really freaking need it! Ugh, disgruntled much?! Today was the first day it was restocked (took forever, eh?) and I couldn't get it this afternoon because of my French and Psych class interfering. So, now for my Macroeconomics class I was supposed to read the first two chapters somehow this week and I haven't. Ugh, I just hope we don't have a quiz on them today. 

So now I'm sitting here, by the library, reading about Macroeconomics on wikipedia trying to skim through it and remember everything I can. Yikes.

Welp, instead of studying for french, which I oh so fucking need, I played Four loko pong in my room with my roommate and like, 6 other poeple that live under us. Yeah, so you can tell where this night is going haa. 

Oh kids, I know. Htis is bad. my parents will be angry, but eh whtaever. This guy who lives across from us brought over a bottle of Jameson which ahs been screaming my name. Whoops. =/ 

Well, I went to my first two official college classes today. Not too bad. I am in French 1 and Intro to Macroeconomics. French seems like it can get a little difficult, as we already have and exam on Thursday. Yup, one class in and boom! They hit you upside the head with a test. 

Tonight, however, instead of studying I think I might go out and have a celebratory drink with my roommate, Kyle. He is actually a pretty cool guy. Was a little nervous when I got here, didn't know what to think but glad he's cool.

Had a bonfire with friends tonight. Might have been the last night were all together until who knows when. Many of them are moving off to college over the next few days. 

It's so weird to say goodbye to everyone you know. I mean, you went to high school with them for the past four years, saw them every day. They're like family.

In a way, when I leave, I'll be saying goodbye to two sets of families; my inherited family and my friends family. It's going to be weird, awkward, sure. But it's a new step in the adventure that is life.
