There has been over the years a proliferation of MRA rhetoric about family courts as an example of 'anti male biases/ misandry' in society. These arguments are based on nothing other than lies and vibes that are easily absorbed as under the conditions of patriarchy it is hardly difficult to convince people that women are evil privileged bitches who live life on easy mode.
This idea is, in simple terms, absolute nonsense that persists for no reason other than misogyny.
It has been shown time and time again before this UK article + study that family courts are institutionally biased against women despite what most people believe. A woman who alleges abuse against her ex partner is MORE likely to lose her case and access to kids then those who don't. (1) Claims of 'parental alienation' further compound this (2). Especially, as these legal processes are often used by male abusers as a way to maintain access to their ex female partners in order to further harm, abuse, and degrade them (3).
Family courts are not bias against fathers or men, they are not stacked in favour of the mother, and they certainly don't just let women 'take the kids and money and run'. They, like all major institutions formed under the conditions of patriarchy, are deeply misogynistic in their functions, treatments, and outcome.
Circling the discourse drain like maybe you do need dysphoria to be trans actually but in like a "if you identify as your assigned sex there is a word for that and you're not gonna like it" way instead of just bullying he/theys for being too gay or whatever we were doing in the 2010s. Circling the discourse drain around and around and landing on "the guys on the start of the detrans grifter pipeline who publicly identify as ~afab~ and ~female socialized~ and shit should be not only excluded from Community Spaces for safety but genuinely not even considered trans people". my slightly unfair questions
here are the ones that i acknowledge are kind of unfair, and then i'm gonna talk about why most of them are actually perfectly fair
okay, so in order. the first one is the podium during scott's mlh awards speech. this is the exact same podium as we see in shane and ilya's speech BUT i promise you the picture i have of the podium is wayy lower than we ever see from that front angle during shane and ilya's. so no credit for you if you voted for the wrong mlh award episode
the second is carter's hat. and YES we see carter's hat in 2 episodes but in episode 3 it would be pretty hard to get this clip because this is taken when he's standing, and when he sits down there would be a black bar from the window at the edge of the photo. however, u get partial credit if u recognized carter's hat but thought i was being tricky and voted episode 3
the hollander's light fixture is seen briefly in episode 5 as well as it's from the same angle, but it would much less clear picture bc the lamp is in motion the whole time. however u get full credit if u knew it was the hollander's lamp but thought episode 5
the last one is the house across from shane's cottage and we do see that in Nearly the same lightning in shane's documentary however the picture would have been muchh smaller and a little less clear. however full credit if u thought this was from the documentary, honestly, i forgot that the documentary existed.
