I recently went on a 2 week trip to JP (4 days) and KR (9 days) mainly to visit family who I haven’t seen in ~7 yrs! Throughout this trip I was on THE HUNT for any scrap of shoujo merch!

Reorganized my shelf with some of the new additions! 🥹 <3

Some things I noticed: Spring Storm and Monster is super popular in both JP and KR! I was pleasantly surprised to see it having sm merch! Though I didn’t purchase any bc I found that a lot of special goods boxes I saw was mainly merch of the male lead..and I was looking for merch of both the leads (cmon! The girlie is the main character!!) In particular I skipped out on Spring Storm and Monster, Pink to Habanero, You’re my Cutie, and A Condition Called Love)

NOW! onto the haul! ~~

Starting off w/ vol 7. of Shujinkou Nikki (Diary of a Female Lead) 💘 from Tower Records Shibuya! Bought this bc it came w/ a cute postcard 🥰 Wasn’t able to have a lot of time for shopping bc I was with family, so this is the only purchase from JP…😞

Next is vol. 5 of Tonari no Stella (Gazing at the Star Next Door) 🩵 from Kyobo bookstore in Seoul! (Thankfully I can read this hehe) it came w/ an adorable coaster and mini postcard!!! Love the watercolor art smmm

My second fave find…special box set of vol. 10 of Yubisaki to RenRen (A Sign of Affection) 💛 also from Kyobo! Came w/ an acrylic standee, 3 mini postcards (the paper quality is so nice and textured!), and a small clear file bookmark!!! Hit the jackpot w/ this one and it was only 25,000 won…america could never 😭

and the most exciting…

the newest issue of Hana to Yume!! (at the time) which I coincidentally found at a bookstore in Haneda airport!! I was so disappointed seeing Kusanagi-sensei’s tweet abt 2 Yona posters being included in the next issue and I had alr left the country…BUT!! ALAS!!!

THE POSTERS ARE DOUBLE SIDED AND SO BEAUTIFUL!!! 😭💖 I love the watercolor art and the colors are so vibrant and pretty 💕 so thankful I was able to find this esp bc yona merch is so difficult to find 🙏 (WE NEED A S2!!!)

Overall, I think I got a pretty decent haul for a first-time visit and for a trip not focused on shopping! I definitely have more spots in my mind for where to go next time I’m in JP that wasn’t possible this time…😆
