So Eloise hasn’t been in town long but she knew of GMTF from visiting as a kid… maybe they’re old college friends? And now I imagine Mel being like one of my best friends who also works in theatre and is constantly keeping one eye open for me to get a job at his theatre…. so maybe when Eloise’s job opened, Mel was like “APPLY APPLY APPLY!” and the rest is history.

I just sort of imagine everyone in their little friendship circle showing up at their cottage all the time and its constantly full of people and i just love it, okay? hahaha

College friends!!  I love it!  dkslfjklsjdklfj  Mel has probs been dragging her around for ages then hahaha she’s can go a little hardcore in being an affectionate friend, I’m afraid hahaha  I s2g her heart is in the right place!!!  She worries a lot about Eloise and just wants the best for her but her idea and Eloise’s idea of what that is might be slightly different hahaha

Mel getting Eloise to apply!!!!!  Omg she would totally do that!!!!!  And I can absolutely see her always scanning the thing to see if there are any Eloise!friendly jobs open and instantly calling her up once she saw it.  hahaha APPLY APPLY APPLY but honestly <3333  She was also like ‘omg you’ll love bingley i know i do!!!!’ not foreseeing the culture shock aspect bc she, herself, is from a small town (tho not quite THAT small) hahaha

SO THESE TWO KATE. I feel like they’re incredibly similar in many ways?? Like they both chose areas  that can stereotypically be more of a “boys club” so they have any to bond over? Mel is trying to be taken seriously and Lou is trying not to be seen as like a secretary or whatever?

I was saying to Lizzy that I think Eloise’s friends from work are THE MOST important to her, since she literally knew  no one showing up in Bingley. Maybe Mel was the person who started introducing her to everyone, since they’re roommates? (PS HOW CUTE WILL THEIR COTTAGE BE?!) And I think Lou needs someone like Mel around who would take her laptop and put it on a high shelf or whatever so she stops working…. and Eloise definitely will be better having someone around just in general. She’s one of those people who would hole up alone if she didn’t have a roommate around.

djkhjkhjkhjhjTRDFHJzfddhgjgjhm I LOVE IT!!!!!  OMG I love the idea of them coming home and venting/bonding over breaking the glass ceiling together!!!!!!  I also wonder if this was part of what they initially bonded over, ~back in the day~  Also, I’m thinking since they just moved in w each other, that they were def friends first?  Like Mel, I think, has been with the company for awhile, anyway, do you think Eloise has as well?  I’m trying to figure out how long/well they know each other ;D

i feel like alice just thinks GMTF is this magical place in some respects? like she’s one of thsoe people who may not get HOW MUCH WORK goes into theatrical productions?? so if milo brings herself around she’s mostly just in awe of everything, haha. And I sort of feel like Mel would totally intimidate her, honestly? like this badass woman with powertools who then rolls out of work looking like she’s walked out of a magazine or whatever… 

Awwww bb hahaha for what it’s worth I think Mel would really like Alice!!!  But I think she’d also worry about her a little bc Milo and Gen are...their own thing and I think she might feel like Alice doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into...but I don’t see her doing much about it like she might give her a word or two of friendly advice and then figure it’s none of her business from there. 

I never think it’s right to chew gum in front of other people, but a lot of times I’ll come in for a meeting chewing gum and I’ll forget I’m chewing it. Then you don’t want to swallow it, because it stays in your system for seven years or something, so I’ve asked to throw it away. I’ve started to wonder if that’s why I didn’t get certain movies.
