Jimmy was avoiding work and, meanwhile, Eloise appeared to be drowning in it. Almost literally - Jimmy didn’t even notice Eloise behind the mound of papers on her desk when he first poked his head around the corner. With the questionable financial situation of GMTF, everyone was putting in their all - plus some - and perhaps no one as much as Eloise Beck, who had been tasked with going through the department spending. 

Jimmy got a headache just thinking about it.

“You’re coming out tonight?” Jeremy had asked, “Are you feeling okay?” He paused, “Is this about that cute blonde that was in the store yesterday?”

Warned rolled his eyes. “Shut up.” 

In fact, it was about Alice Lark, but Warner didn’t feel like admitting it. (Even though he was sure his brother knew that this strange behavior was, in fact, prompted by Alice.) He’d casually mentioned to her that a bunch of them would probably be down at Sullivan’s bar tonight if she wanted to stop by. It would be mostly theater people, but sometimes Jere would go down, too. Warner, himself, had never joined his brother but he felt like he might be able to make an exception on the off chance that Alice would show up. 

But when he arrived, he realized that she hadn’t. 

He’d been there an hour or so, now, sitting awkwardly besides his brother and wondering what had possessed him to come out in the first place. He was too beers and one whiskey shot in, and he was starting to feel the effects which at least had loosened him up to go and actually talk to someone besides Jeremy. 

He got up from the stool and immediately wished he hadn’t. He couldn’t remember the last time he had gone drinking and he was a lightweight. Eloise Beck was standing near him and he turned to her and said, “I’ve been stood up.”

so omg I feel like jimmy is all about keeping things super light and fun at work??? and he mostly does pulls pranks for his own enjoyment/so he won’t get bored but also to put a smile on his co-workers’ faces haha. It sounds like eloise gets stressed at work a lot???? I feel like jimmy would do things just to get her to laugh/smile but i can also see where maybe that might backfire too lol idk how eloise feels about his pranks???
