american person: *writes date*

I need to like, lint roll myself. On a physical and emotional level
Drarry where Harry can see floating ribbons around people that intertwine sometimes. He sees it in friends the most. His and Ron’s ribbons play all the time, they wrestle constantly. His and Hermione’s will play too but at a calmer rate. What he loves the most about the ribbons are how they react to people in relationships.
It never surprised him when Ron and Hermione got together because their ribbons had been slowly twisting together since they were kids. It was beautiful to see how intricate their ribbons became the deeper his best friends fell in love.
When he dated Ginny their ribbons touched a lot but never did more than that. It made him ache and yearn for something missing. Oh, he loved her and he imagine his ribbon loved her too but they never reacted like he had hoped. Like he had seen others do.
What didn’t surprise him was the volatile reaction Malfoy’s ribbon had to Harry’s. The green ribbon reminded him of a snake waiting to strike, and oh boy it did whenever Harry was nearby. Jabbing and poking before both ribbons lost it and became a tangled mess.
He probably should have been upset but it amused him every time he walked by Malfoy. Which never helped the situation since it always ended with,
“What’s so funny Potter? Can’t even walk by without a condescending smirk, can you?”
How was Harry to explain that he wasn’t laughing at Malfoy but rather at something no one else could see?
It isn’t until they both end up working at the ministry that Malfoy’s ribbon changes temperament. Oh it’s still hyperactive but in a different way.
It wiggles.
Malfoy’s ribbon wiggles when Harry greets him in the lift every morning. It wiggles when he smiles. It wiggles when they sit together in the break room. It wiggles whenever Harry says, “Draco.”
And when Harry mucks up the courage to invite Malfoy over for dinner, the ribbon lunges at his own in a way that is reminiscent of their youth, only this time it strangles his ribbon in affection.
Harry ends up missing what Draco says because he’s too fascinated with the way their ribbons twist, turn and weave together in a stunning braid.
Wow, just wow. I need a fic of this so bad
Who’s writing it 👀👀
Or someone with talent draw it? 🥺

I love all the different ways Richie and Eddie could get together after Chapter 2–grand love confessions, Capital K Kisses, running into each other’s arms, or months more of agonized pining… but I’m also sort of charmed by the idea of them just. Going on a date and “seeing what happens.” Because it’s laughable, right? The love there, the life-long friendship, the underlying supernatural force that surrounds their relationship… it’s more than a date can really articulate. But they still live in the real world, and Eddie’s just gotten divorced and his feelings are still a little vague so this is what they decide to do. And all in all it’s fine, just weird because it doesn’t really feel like a date, but the pressure of it being one still hangs over their heads so they can’t really hang out like normal either.
Richie takes Eddie home afterward, his hands shoved deep in his jacket pockets as they walk side by side, and finally he says “is it weird that I’m nervous? I used to walk you home all the time when we were kids.”
Eddie shrugs as they reach his doorstep. “Well, when we were kids, all you had to worry about was waving goodbye without falling off your bike.” He sticks his key in the front door and turns back to Richie. “And inviting you inside meant reading Little Lulu comics and talking about your ventriloquist aspirations.”
Richie swallows. “Are you inviting me inside, Eddie?” he asks, stiff still.
Eddie reaches out for Richie’s tie, brushing his thumb over the pattern curiously. “Yeah, but Richie,” he says, looking up at him then, “I don’t have any comics.”
At least once more.
