I'M NOT GONNA TELL YOU TO WATCH "ONE DAY AT A TIME"
But if you like any of the things listed down here, you might want to.
Because this show is one of a kind, and it will be cancelled if not more people finds out about it. (seriously, the reviews are incredible, but not enough people are watching).
-Shows similar to Brooklyn 99, Family Ties, and Scrubs.
-Feelgood comedy: The humor isn’t offensive or tries to make you laugh at a character’s suffering. Instead, it relies on being unexpected, clever, and a bit goofy. The cast has such brilliant comedic chemistry you won’t believe it.
-Something easy to binge: The episodes are 25 minutes long and there are only 13 episodes per season. It currently has 3 seasons. You can catch up quickly.
-Comedy MIXED WITH ANGSTY DRAMA! It’s rare to find comedy shows that is wholesome, but also doesn’t hesitate to show their characters dealing with serious issues such as depression, anxiety attacks, PTSD and addiction. This one does. And it does it beautifully.
-Non-binary representation: One main character is dating a person who uses they and them pronouns. This is the first show I’ve seen that has done this in a respectful way. Also, they are probably the most healthy couple in the show and they are ADORABLE.
-TEARS: There are so many tearjerkers in this show you’re gonna run out of heartstrings and wonder how this is still a sitcom?? And then you’re gonna choke on those tears during the next joke.
-Wholesome platonic friendship: The relationship between Schneider and Penelope is so beautiful and heartwarming. An ex-addict and a war veteran nurse supporting each other when they need it the most.
SO IF ANY OF THESE APPLIES TO YOUR PREFERENCES……Log on to Netflix. Quick. We’re running out of time.
This show needs to keep existing. It’s the only one that checks off all of my boxes.
We DO deserve to have nice things…
