I’ve talked ab this ship on here before I think but another reason why I like Clint/Bucky more than Steve/Bucky or realistically anyone with Bucky over Steve like Tony which I also love is bc it means u really get to see what happens when Bucky has that chance to separate from what in my mind becomes sort of a codependency? Like sure Bucky and Steve make sense in a way, it’s classic friends to lovers with tragedy and memory loss and second chances thrown in there and it’s fine. But I personally can’t imagine going thru smth that traumatic losing like 70 years of my life to an underground nazi organisation whilst having to undergo all manner of unconsensual body mods and literal torture and having to kill ppl on top of that with no control of myself!! and think oh ye me and my buddy from 70 years ago are still compatible and familiar enough for me to want to try and fit myself into the box of who they think I am and lose my sense of self even further trying to become who they think I am rather than who I actually am post 70 years of shit and then also date them on top of that lol. I want Bucky to have the chance to be whoever yk? Get the chance to incorporate all his experiences and values and whatever into someone that he wants to be and find someone who likes that person. And I suppose at the end of the day a clean slate is perfect for that. Not to mention Clint was also brainwashed so can slightly relate, and hell Tony has a guilt complex that could maybe measure up to Buckys lol. They’ve each got their own drama ofc lol but I love how it widens buckys world when his best friend isn’t also his boyfriend and he can grow into his own self in his own time with a character that has no expectations for him other than not to kill ppl lol

U know ur deep in the rare pair trenches when Hakoda/Zuko is a ship you’ve read and genuinely loved (tho imo a good author can make any ship work fr). Its just really interesting dynamic wise and I mean it’s scandalous af cuz that’s sokka and katara’s dad right there likeeee i cannot see that going well and i don’t even blame them lol but the ship is fire soo we let it slide hehe. But ye this ship is all ab like sad lonely Zuko finally being cared for and shit by kind understanding hakoda and it’s really sweet and Zuko definitely needs nice things in life and hakoda is a nice thing lol the end.

Hypothetically if shigaraki and Natsuo were a thing… that would be so dramatic and epic. Its like: shigaraki dating dabi’s brother lol, two todorokis sons of a hero end up involved in villainy in some way, and shigaraki the don’t touch me edgelord falling in love with a civilian medical student? Yes pls that is hilarious. Not to mention like Natsuo finding out his brother is alive helloooooo and even better if dabi is involved with hawks like how convoluted is that lol

After a long day of essay writing I find myself rereading a Jonathan/Steve fanfic cuz I remember this one feeling quite comforting to me lmao. Stranger things ofc, and from what I remember I think this one felt super real to me like I love it when a fanfic can make me feel two character’s love for each other but like I really got it in this one. It just made sense. Jonathan was sort of painted as the kind of person that u could watch do the most day to day things and just love them by the way they eat their yogurt or smth lol. Not because he’s so unbelievably loveable or anything but specifically bc him and Steve grew closer and Steve’s point of view on him became softer like the feeling u get when u realise someone u didn’t view romantically does smth and for a moment u see them in a different light. The whole fic gives me that feeling. Very intimate just bc of how they could sit quietly together

I’m reading such a cute story ab Shigaraki/Natsuo rn omg. I’m so tense cuz the action in here is wildddd like the fuckjnf plot is actively feeding my soul and that’s without mentioning the absolutely amazing relationship those two have built together it’s devastatingly beautiful i swear. I’ve found a real good fic for it too cuz it’s got a second part to it so now I’ve just been binge reading this series lol. Still updating recently so I hope the author will continue with it but they made Natsuo such a badass in this fic like bros will is so admirable and shigaraki is still his disaster self and so strong bc of it ofc but the way he’s opened up to natsuo despite everything and managed to build a trusting relationship is too sweet. Like bro would lose his shit if anything happened to Natsuo and same with him they are just ride or die for each other and I love that in a ship. They’re so obsessed with each other and they’ll fight to keep the world from tearing them apart it’s soooo good! I also really like when fics acknowledge that shigaraki is shimura tenko and villains are created not born all the good stuff u want in a my hero fic tbh, the flaws in the system that makes who these ppl are. I just really like it when a fic sort of details why a person is the way they are for characterisation reasons but also bc then the ship flows so much better cuz u get to see why these characters work together and the understanding they build for each other :) Ughhhhh I love it hehe

Losing my marbles over Shigaraki/Natsuo rn its soooo cute i cant. I need more shigaraki redemptionnnnn and luckily this ship is big on that. It’s like yes let’s just let shigaraki be that awkward gamer guy for once and natsuo is such a sweetheart to him honestly. Also hilarious that Dabi then has to deal with them being adorable lol
