Who designed the dark mark? Is this known or can I just assume it had to have been Tom Riddle himself :€ cuz lowkey I can’t see him giving that authority to anyone else. Ruling under someone else’s mark ? Excuse me no way would he be happy ab that. However I can totally see him stealing part of the design from smth else in a mocking sort of way. Like say irl you’ve got the winding snake on the staff thing u can see to represent healing often found in front of pharmacies and stuff (re him mocking his muggle roots but also the fact that bro would find it laughable to be associated with healing and helping others lol). I can also totally see him doing this in a mocking association with the devil in Christianity too like that would defo put an interesting spin on things and actually now that I think ab it im really surprised ive yet to see anyone mention this in any of the fics ive read … But anyways then there’s the infinity sign the snake makes ofc representing his immortality duh. It’s just overall really interesting and also just straight up a little funny to imagine Tom sat somewhere in the library with loads of books open and sketches surrounding him of potential branding ideas for his club lol. And who knows lol maybe the guy has a secret knack for art or perhaps he came up with an idea and got one of his artistically skilled classmates to draw it out for him with Tom just peering over their shoulder intensely and correcting them when they strayed too far from his vision lmao

It’s popped into my head a few times recently to consider what Azula and Sokka would be like as a potential ship and actually I think it’d be hella interesting. Both of them are very hot headed, antagonistic, and stubborn ppl tbh and especially towards each other but I actually think that these traits would garner respect between them if only bc those traits are things they understand and therefore relate to. They ultimately have similar goals and motives aka fighting for their nation(s)/whole world and not disappointing their fathers lol. Also both are known for their strategic thinking and their clear headedness in a fight. In which case I could easily imagine their love story being very give and take initially very chess match like and both fighting each other for some ground negotiation style lol. And ofc I had to check our beloved ao3 to see what was on there ab this and I did indeed find a very good fic ab the two of them hehe I might just have to keep finding more :p Also what even happens with Azula post canon? It seems like such wasted potential to not use her for anything after the series especially given she was such a complex character and since she was so young at the end of it still she could easily have grown to be someone entirely different to who we knew her as in the show or a completely different ball game of menace! I somehow doubt she’s mentioned in the movie thooo

I actually do just love a fic where Harry manages to hurt voldemorts feelings icl. It’s like the last thing u think of as being possible lol despite Voldemort literally being a human he’s just so above it all or in a rage u don’t consider the fact that Harry is in fact so deep under his skin a snub from him would actually be painful for him lol. Ofc Voldemort then hides all the mushy parts of himself and does his own thing of making himself feel better lol and maybe Harry doesn’t even know he just took shots at his enemy/lover in such a simple way but alas. I just like me some gentle angst

I’ve talked ab this ship on here before I think but another reason why I like Clint/Bucky more than Steve/Bucky or realistically anyone with Bucky over Steve like Tony which I also love is bc it means u really get to see what happens when Bucky has that chance to separate from what in my mind becomes sort of a codependency? Like sure Bucky and Steve make sense in a way, it’s classic friends to lovers with tragedy and memory loss and second chances thrown in there and it’s fine. But I personally can’t imagine going thru smth that traumatic losing like 70 years of my life to an underground nazi organisation whilst having to undergo all manner of unconsensual body mods and literal torture and having to kill ppl on top of that with no control of myself!! and think oh ye me and my buddy from 70 years ago are still compatible and familiar enough for me to want to try and fit myself into the box of who they think I am and lose my sense of self even further trying to become who they think I am rather than who I actually am post 70 years of shit and then also date them on top of that lol. I want Bucky to have the chance to be whoever yk? Get the chance to incorporate all his experiences and values and whatever into someone that he wants to be and find someone who likes that person. And I suppose at the end of the day a clean slate is perfect for that. Not to mention Clint was also brainwashed so can slightly relate, and hell Tony has a guilt complex that could maybe measure up to Buckys lol. They’ve each got their own drama ofc lol but I love how it widens buckys world when his best friend isn’t also his boyfriend and he can grow into his own self in his own time with a character that has no expectations for him other than not to kill ppl lol

U know ur deep in the rare pair trenches when Hakoda/Zuko is a ship you’ve read and genuinely loved (tho imo a good author can make any ship work fr). Its just really interesting dynamic wise and I mean it’s scandalous af cuz that’s sokka and katara’s dad right there likeeee i cannot see that going well and i don’t even blame them lol but the ship is fire soo we let it slide hehe. But ye this ship is all ab like sad lonely Zuko finally being cared for and shit by kind understanding hakoda and it’s really sweet and Zuko definitely needs nice things in life and hakoda is a nice thing lol the end.
