 try clearing up your staring wall. Things like posters and random push pins clutter the thinking space and distract your inner monologue so you end up ruminating longer. However, a blank wall may be too much for some people, I put glitter on my walls for this reason, but putting a sticky note or a decal or anything to break up the scenery would work

if there’s mold growing on it put it like several feet away from your breathing space at least

 whenever you see a shadow person address it as ‘my dude’ you will be amazed at what this does to your headspace 

 when drawing neurotically, soft free-flowing patterns are a lot more soothing than sharp, angular ones. But if you want to get yourself worked up, do the second one 

 try different lightings when talking to yourself in the mirror, you might find that they elicit different emotional wavelengths to base conversation off of. For me, the brighter it is the more panicky it gets, but too dark and it can feel evil 

when you’re in that mood where you want to be catty and start shit, read celebrity gossip or watch bravo. you can project your emotions onto them and the drama they’re going through can fulfill your desire to create your own
