You have been through hell, but you are still alive. So many things tried to break you, but you survived. Every day is a struggle, but you’re making it. You’ve been through so much, no one would blame you if you were bitter. Don’t be. Refuse to be another smudge in a world of negativity. If you can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, perhaps it time to try making your own light

I don’t want to keep living like this. 

You won’t. I promise. twelve years ago I tried to kill myself. Three years ago I got very sick and found out I had multiple brain tumors. I thought to myself, what was the point of all the struggles I went through trying to recover, just to get smacked down with illness. But here I am today, making a conscious effort to be grateful that I am alive, and striving to always be kind to others. It’s hard, sometimes I feel bitter, esp when dealing with others negativity towards my situation. I don’t know what you’re going through, but I’m not trying to be patronizing. I promise, you will not always hurt like this. Time changes so much, one day you’ll wake up and be amazed at just how much better things are, but until then try to focus on changing yourself first.  Things were tough for a long time until I was able to move out on my own, and find supportive friends, and go to therapy. One of the things I learned was that you cannot change other people, but you can better yourself: Be kind in the way you think to yourself; Recognize your negative thoughts and replace them with positives. Show gratitude often to others. Pick up good habits, eat healthy, drink water, go to sleep on time, get some sunlight, Find friends that lift you up, not tear you down or encourage your bad habits. There are lots of ways to change for the positive, and it can be overwhelming to try and change your whole life at once, so just pick one. Make one change, and once it’s a habit, make another. Soon enough things will get better.
