“To be fair, I don’t know what would the embodiment of charity would look like” the male commented with a small shrug “Is there like, a reason why you rather not give people money? No judging just wondering. I know some people are scared people are gonna use it for like, drugs or something.”

“It clearly bothered you if you’re currently making a big deal about it, but that’s besides the point. Not everyone is as fortunate as you, it doesn’t hurt to be a decent human being and help out others in need. You think you’re better than those other people? Well, you’re not.”

“Am I begging people for money?” She asked with a shrug. “No. Do I have a place to stay? Yes. Can I afford my food? Also yes, so that already makes me better than those other people, so... Your argument is invalid.”

“…right,” he mumbled, dropping his hands from where they were rubbing at his scruff. “So, um… where are you going?”

“Surprisingly, I am done for today.” It was a rare occasion, she was usually swamped with work stuff, it wasn’t easy to be an assistant in a fashion magazine. “I was going to grab something to eat, wanna join?”

Aya was just doing her daily eating when she saw the woman entering the shop and talking to her. 「 Well, if I was a homeless person, you would be my first target to ask money. Takes it as a compliment. 」She said, drinking her coffee without stopping staring at her.

“I am totally going to take that as a compliment.” Which meant she looked rich enough, Maya would take that. “Is it the outfit or the bags?”

“Maya!” he basically chided her, although he couldn’t help smiling despite her dark jokes. “Honestly though, weird shit with my brother’s wife aside, I think I’m overdue for a therapy session.” Or ten.  “Except the last therapist I saw things got…weird.” 

“What? That’s a solution too.” She shrugged. “Therapist? Yikes.. Those never work.” Maya was forced to see few but none of them stuck, she never saw herself opening up to someone, let alone a total stranger. “Did you fuck her?” She smirked. 

“Good point.” Jude laughed when she brought up abortion. “Hey, listen, I brought up that option when she told me she was pregnant, but she said she felt the divine universe telling her that she should keep it and the kid was gonna be special or somethin’. I thought she was crazy at first but now I kinda think she had a point.” Not that he would elaborate much on that. He knew which of his friends appreciated him talking about Val, and which ones didn’t.

“You should’ve pushed her downstairs then.” That would be quicker than an abortion for sure. Luckily, Maya wasn’t homicidal, she was just joking. Then again, desperate times required desperate measures, you would never know. “Not hard enough to kill her of course.” She shrugged. “You wouldn’t want to end up in jail.”

“Oh, that’s true. Thank you so fucking much for helping me out with the bills. I appreciate it a lot.” Niklaus laughed lightly, because it was so far from the truth. The man didn’t even need this job. He only had it because oddly enough, it kept him sane. He’d always loved the atmosphere of the nightclubs in New York, or anywhere for that matter. Maybe one day he’d have his own. “So did you come here by yourself tonight? Or have your friends ditched you?” the blond teased, taking his glass of whiskey and having a sip of it.

“You are welcome. Happy to help.” She raised her glass filled with gin and tonic before taking a long sip. “I came here with an intern but I think she found some guy over there.” She pointed the short blonde girl with platform heels, talking to a hideous guy, no amount of alcohol would make Maya talk to him but clearly the intern didn’t have any standards, especially after few drinks. “You know how some girls are, when they find a dick that they can ride, they immediately forget about their friends.” She paused to take another sip. “And do you know how I would know this? Because I am one of them.”

This question is a little bit vague because like, is it a musical artist or just an artist? Since I am not really sure, I am going to answer both. My favorite musical artist is Kanye West because he’s a fucking genius and my favorite artist is George Kondo for obvious reasons.

“Yeah, guess you’re right,” he said, deflated.  “Just don’t tell Sophie. Things are still weird after the baby and all that. It’s…not a good time to be Jude Nolan at all.” An idea popped into his head, but a joke one of course. “Hey, wanna swap lives for a bit?” 

“Why would I tell her? I barely know her.” Maya shrugged. “I can’t believe you couldn’t convince that girl to have an abortion. Shame on you.” Maybe the girl pulled a baby trap, like her own mother did to her father. “No fucking way. I’d rather die than become a parent.”

“Great listening!” Lottie said, sounding as condescending as she could. “So are we done here or did you want to moan about strangers to a stranger even more?”

“We’ve been done quite a while but somehow you ended up bringing up your tragic story.” Maya rolled her eyes again. “So, this is our cue to leave, you can go back to whatever place you’ve crawled out and cry about your little head injury.” 

Lottie wasn’t exactly in the mood for an argument but she wasn’t going to back down either. At the mention of being dropped on her head Lottie couldn’t help but laugh on the irony. “Not dropped no, but my skull has been cracked once, blood everywhere, so that may account for my common decency.” she said. Lottie felt like the brunette’s line was a little cliched, so she wasn’t about to bite back for no reason, in her opinion Lottie had nothing to lose.

“So it happened later, not when you were a baby.” A person with decency wouldn’t make a comment like that but Maya has never been one of those people. “Got it.”

The list of Maid of Honor’s duties and responsibilities was quite extensive and once Lara had finished putting everything down on paper, a nervous laughter escaped her. Her main motivation was the bride of course, whose kindness knew no limits and there was little she wouldn’t do for her friends. So there Lara was, at a designer store, waiting for a few fashion designers discussing the bridemaids dresses between themselves. As a female voice reached her, her headache slightly increased. “… If I said yes, what would you do?” The blonde challenged, curious. “Change your appearance? Shave your head? It’s Britney, bitch 2007 style?”

“I certainly wouldn’t change my appearance for a homeless person or two.” They weren’t worth her time. “But maybe yell even louder when they come close. Or maybe hire a security?” Now she was just fucking around. “That would be ironic, like, homeless people already adapted that Britney 2007 look. I am not trying to look like them, I am trying to keep them away from me.”

Immediately, his hands shot up to meet his jaw, rubbing against the coarse hair on his face. “You don’t like it?” It wasn’t the first time he’d gotten a negative reaction about his facial hair, which he usually kept neatly trimmed or completely shaven clean. “Nothing happened to me, I- is it really that bad?” God he wished he had a razor and some cream right about now. “I just wanted to come and say hello.” And ask for some fashion advice, but all he could think about was how hideous his beard was.
