16. Which fic do you go back to and read again and again?

Devotion by thephilosophersapprentice!!! It's got intersex, genderqueer Kaladin, and it's actually one of my favorite explorations of gender and Vorinism... Augh. It's a big inspiration for me and is put me onto dissecting Vorinism.

21. What's your favourite femslash fic?

Head over Feet by @mayaeatsbooks!!! It's the longest Shalvin fic last I checked and the characterization is amazing!

22. What's your favourite fic with a non-binary character?

Wikihow How to Kiss (With Pictures) by @natequarter!!! Each of the three characters here are so adorable, from transfem Shallan who struggles with her estrogen injections, to nonbinary injection-saavy, kiss-unsaavy Kaladin, to "I want no part of your floundering" Vin... Just such a peak one-shot!

@mayaeatsbooks. Like I don't think there's more to say about it. Objectively I hadn't so much as considered it until she started talking about it and now I'm #Team ShalVin for life.

2) What are your favorite things about the ship?

How they portray themselves in public is ABSOLUTELY exactly the other's type early in their series. Shallan is a somewhat snarky, intelligent aristocrat like Elend, and Vin is rough-around-the-edges and extremely competent, while also having a kind exterior if you get through the layers and layers and layers and layers of trauma like Kaladin!

3) Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Can you have an unpopular opinion on a ship with 6 works? I honestly don't know so I'll just give a general fandom opinion that I think applies here: You don't have to make it make sense within the framework of canon. ShalVin does not need to make sense—it only needs be made.
