So I've had this WIP for a while and since I've found no motivation to draw at all nor liking what I am drawing lately, I decided to try to work on this wip for the anniversary and, honestly? It turned out better than I thought. I think I finally found a nurse design for Shinigami that I'm satisfied with... x-x;

I referenced this image from an old manga series I loved as a middle schooler and I thought it would be fun to draw it out as GOD Shinigami. Holding her tiny little sick master...uh-oh.... Looks like he's in HER hands now... 😈 (god knows where she'll stick that thing, poor yuma... X'D)

But yeah I just wanted to contribute something for today. And to thank the community for being so chill and kind to me. Even if I'm a bit distant atm, I always know this community will always let me in and I wouldn't be where I am today without this game and all of these wonderful people...💗

This kind of happened to me twice before, but it was more because of weaknesses, in his case it might be different or similar.

I've been wondering how Makoto would react if his nose started bleeding while he was busy with his projects at the corporation. I tried to make the drawing kind of serious and melancholic.

Imagine the situation in which he would be in his office as usual, and his nose starts to bleed, as a sign of extreme fatigue, physical or mental overload, His body is starting to show signs that he needs to rest, and that he needs breaks every now and then. Even though he's a perfect homunculus, he needs breaks for himself, and since he's so close to a regular human being. I also imagine him having:

Headaches

Pain in the neck and shoulders (from always being in the same position for hours)

Altered mood

Irregular sleep (He might end up sleeping at the table in some meeting)

Bags under the eyes

walking like a zombie.

His body hurts

Drinking coffee, medicine or energy drinks.

Problems controlling his emotions

In short: he has a heavy and unhealthy routine, which could cause him to faint, or, as in the drawing, a nosebleed.

I think it could make for a cool Sick au narrative, the story could revolve around how he deals with this weakness, whether he tries to hide or allows himself to be helped, generating intense emotional moments and internal conflicts.

I was also seeing some dark art by a Japanese artist, where they portrayed sad and melancholic scenarios involving emotional and mental problems, Some of them being in a work environment. Or maybe I just wanted to make art with dark colors.

Don't tell me, you're literally bleeding, idiot, permission to hit him?

I know Yuma and Makoto have different voice actors, but they both did a great job of making their voices sound similar. To be honest, I thought they were the same person dubbing. XD

I think you recognize this scenario, right? Yes, it's from that game "that's not my neighbor", which is about preventing doppelgangers from entering the building. To be honest, I was just going to draw Makoto, but then OUT OF NOWHERE I thought of drawing Nocturnal Detective Agency and Kurumi in all of this. Everyone in the image is an impostor, even Yuma there who seems the most "normal" among the others. In addition to looking deformed, or missing something, they appear much paler than normal. Some impostors do not know how to 100% imitate the appearance of the original.

I don't know if the doppelgangers could copy the homunculi and imitate their same pink blood, I think I put that in for static, I decided to draw them, because I wanted to improve some points, like Vivia's hair which seems to have turned out better than the last time I drew him, My favorites in this are definitely Yakou and Makoto (and Vivia too), and they would probably be the first doppelgangers in this story.

The imposter Yakou's broken neck is based on the Crooked Man from an RPG game, it's not just a story about a monster chasing the protagonist, but anyway, the game's monster looks really good, a tall man with a broken neck who only knows how to roar like a hunting animal. I was also thinking about a Yakou with that appearance chasing Yuma, and clearly you guys aren't that surprised that Yuma is the victim. xD

The context is simple: I was watching an edition with sinister music, and I decided to do it with Yuma too, so I was also curious about how he would look with his eyes black like that, and here is the result.

The edit was made months ago on Discord, and the drawing and doodles were made recently. I was thinking about Yuma getting mentally destroyed or being possessed by some shadow. It happened that in Discord something happened where someone close to him died and he became mentally unstable and in a vegetative state for more than 2 months. (I'm a monster), I explained more here, it was a good role-playing, although I felt sorry for Yuma, seeing him cry is sad. ;-;

Seeing a character with black eyes like this is usually used in horror scenes. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, so if Yuma were possessed, the first thing you would notice different is his eyes. If he were to lose his soul, he would probably turn into a doll. I was also trying to watch the Anime: "Higurashi no Naku Koro" , and I couldn't understand almost anything.

There's the edition, it's crap, I know, I did it last year, I just showed it to my friends on Discord when we were talking about Yuma being in a broken state of mind. He clearly doesn't look well here and needs some therapy. This is the level of suffering I give him, I'm sorry Yuma. DX

I love my favorite characters and my OCs, but it's fun to torture them this way, Either he suffers mentally or he dies in some game or horror movie that I've seen in my life, I've seen you guys saying that he wouldn't survive anything without Shinigami. I really don't know if I'll be able to do some cool birthday drawing for him next month, I can't promise. Maybe the most I can do is like and reblog your guys work, and like on Twitter/X.
