i don't really talk about this often, but one of my older cousins is a semi-popular movie actor, and one time when i was like 11 she was filming close enough for us to visit, so we drove two hours north with some family to have dinner and catch up. and it was about when dessert arrived she turned to me and went "you know, as long as you're having fun and it's not hurting anyone, it's okay to lie about your life to make it seem more interesting to strangers on the internet" and tbh that really stuck with me
