hi ! a little introduction (updated) for little old me !

i go by lena / leina / aleina (whichever one you prefer is fine) and make use of any and every pronoun. (not picky in the slightest)

i am a full time student, so excuse the occasional inactivity. . .

i love love love love LOVE -> Red Queen (2015) by Victoria Aveyard -> so expect this blog to pretty much be entirely about this saga. . . though occasionally i may make other posts, it'll mostly stay RQ related !

i'm currently watching a few shows and reading a few books. i'll edit this post depending on what i add to my list of what i will be blogging and creating content for <3

but obviously because im me i cant just do a NORMAL one so

what about a rewrite au with a twist: a wheel of DEATH

Basically whenever a character is due for a death i put every name involved in the scene in the wheel to determine who dies. that way it keeps me on my feet and the audience too

this is probably gonna hurt my feelings since i have terrible luck and it's probably gonna kill off all my faves in chapter 2 or something but we'll have to see. besides im sure all of our beloved babies in the red queen universe have enough luck to survive.

im still thinking about putting even the mc of the fic on the wheel... like if it's maven pov i put him on the wheel too. it feels like a threat but meh im sure he'll be fine he's been through worse.

there MIGHT be more info in the books than i remember since im in desperate need for a reread since i have the memory capacity of a fruit fly, but from what i remember we get very little to no detail about other lands at all

since i started loving red queen ive loved the idea of the Prairie Lands and how it's a feudal kraterocracy (checked the wiki seven times to spell check that) but there is very little actually given to us besides the names of the warlords and ladies and the lands and all that

and dont even get me started on the disputed lands (which is an area of land between the Prairie Lands, Norta, the Lakelands and Piedmont)... this is so cool hello

do we ever get any info on the disputed lands? i dont think we do since i dont remember squat about it and only found out about it through research i did for an oc. then again, like i said, i have the memory of a fruit fly when it comes to miniscule details so i wouldn't be surprised if mare had a 7 minute long conversation with someone about it and 12 year old me skimmed to get to the maven part

i did that a lot

anyhoo i guess i can't be too upset because it gives me the chance to use my own creativity to further expand on the topic. might make a few oc series' based off of my own interpretation of each land from the little we were given (I haven't forgotten about you Tiraxes)

another thing that interests me is outside kingdoms on the global scale... does everyone in this futuristic america land know that there are other continents with potentially other lands, or what??? i doubt that they've stayed put this entire time, especially the Lakelanders with their abilities in the water. or do we need Silver Christopher Columbus or something to go looking?? another option could be that they just don't care. like "hey i have my kingdom which i rule over with an iron fist, money, food and endless amounts of opportunity, im not about to waste it going to look for other lands!"

of course julian has maps and all that but with the lack of outside people being mentioned i dont know whether it's because they are already in communication and have been for ages or if it's just "we know about you but dont really care"

then again we're talking about Silvers here, they obviously care when it comes to money and land

you know i had a feeling you'd ask about that one LOL just a hunch

He couldn't help but stare at her.

She was perhaps the most beautiful thing he had ever seen: and though he had not seen very many beautiful things in his life, he could confirm that she was the best of them all.

She didn't have her hair in some ridiculous updo or a face full of make-up that made her look less like a person and more like a doll made of glass--instead she wore a humble dress, her hair travelling down her back in waves and her face clean of any cosmetics and still as beautiful as she was in his thoughts.

"I know. I look ridiculous." she sighs.

"Hardly." he breathes, quickly righting his expression; replacing his intense expression with a lopsided smile that he fears landed rather pathetically.

"I have hundreds of tailors that can make you any dress you please: you need only demand it."

"I won't demand anything from you." she replies with a hum, stepping forward. Deeper into the light. Where he can see her in all her thunderous glory.

"You won't?" he purrs. "First you claim to hate me and now you deny my gifts. If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought you were a fake."

"People change." she responds, stepping right up to him. She cocks her head to the side, the light of the sunset bouncing off her golden skin in a way that made her look as if she were an angel.

"You'd know all about that, wouldn't you, Maven Calore?"
