So, I haven’t write here in a long time, but I have no one to talk and I need to say this. I don’t care if no one reads it, I just need to say it.

I’m a curling player, and no, I’m not Canadian ;) and I’m totally sad and angry and I don’t want to play anymore and it’s making me anxious.

My first year competing I was the skip (captain) of the second unit of my club in the women nationals. It was a bad experience, two of my teammates were two old ladies(60+) with whom I had nothing in common and every mistake was my fault. Result: 1 win-6 loses and me crying after every single match.

Second year I was the alternate of the first unit. Third year, alternate again.

Fourth year skip of the second unit playing with first year players to show them the mechanics of a tournament. 7 loses. And crying again out of frustration.

And this was my year, two members of the first unit had left the club, this was my chance to show the team that I’m a good player... Alternate, again! Two first year players are in the first unit with zero experience and I’m the fracking alternate.

The f** president of the club called me after publishing the decision to tell me that it was not an easy decision and I just want to cry (I’ve been crying all day xD). I’ve been thinking about this all summer, training and daydreaming about a podium and now I don’t even want to train anymore, I don’t want to see their faces.

After 5 years in the club I don’t want to be the one who goes to championships to show the first years the ropes, I’m good enough to play with players with my same experience level. I don’t want to be always the teacher, I want to win a game or two, just for once, really. Losing every single match makes me anxious and sad.

The good thing is that this year I’m not going to play because the fracking alternate doesn’t play so I’m not losing xD I’m really trying to be positive, but no lucky.

And if someone is reading this sorry for my English. I’m really smart in my mother tongue and I’m crying and cannot think straight in English.

I’m really relieved that both RoAnna and Heather’s books are linked on this post because if their tweets were going to be circulating around Tumblr with no way to indicate that Heather’s written a three-book (so far) fantasy series about magical lesbians and bi women in early 19th century Central Europe and RoAnna writes hopeful superhero dystopians that feature the only f/f/f triad MC’s I can think of in any book, that would have been hecking unfair.

@affablyevil, I hope that helps, but if you want more books, here’s a list I made a while ago of ten SFF f/f’s where they don’t die, and I am continually reading more and recommending more. (Have you heard of Flowers of Luna? College f/f set at fashion design college on the moon.)
