HIYA! This is blogs is @theteabirb ‘s, but y’all can call me Chai, the disaster they basement gremlin! Basically, this is my roleplay blog for my OC’S Maroon (AKA. mars) and Matcha, the twins on the skeld! If I (Chai) am making an OOC post, You’ll see this 💫 at the beginning of the post. I should also warn that I have very bad social anxiety (This is an au I came up with that still has a LOTTA SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Also this is my first roleplay blog so sry if any of the characters actions are out of character)

The AU Concept

Matcha, a detective, is hired by the families and friends of crewmates who mysteriously died of “equipment accidents” in space to find out what REALLY happened to them. Going undercover in the company by getting a job as a doctor in training (being trained under blue), they find themself on the skeld with their twin, maroon, ( a scientists who’s extra religions when in danger) the two realize in horror that they’re on one of the death shipments and need to find out who the fuck is murdering their fellow crewmates

My boundaries/Rules

I have the outline for stuff planned out, And yeah That outline is so goddamn vague I’m basically winging it what I have planned can change based on what asks you guys send, y’all can ask to try to push mars or matcha to do things to push the story forward, ask them about themselves, and ask them about the others on the crew, but I won’t let them respond to ones that mess up the story bc of too much info (for example: telling them to use salt, telling them who the imposters are, telling them who the imposters aren’t)

All characters use they/them, and so do I, so please use the right pronouns. If you get them wrong I’ll just remind you but if you’re doing it on purpose you WILL be blocked/blacklisted.

Matcha is only letting mars (and sometimes blue) get near their illegal secret tablet, so you can only ask them things. They can ask other crewmates things for you though! But only if they want to (this can change)

I’m ok with some suggestive asks and dirty jokes, but not outright sexual asks (Matcha LOVES horrible puns and dirty jokes) if its something I’m uncomfortable with I won’t answer it.

When they aren’t drawn, Mars talks like this, and Matcha talks like this! (and I talk like this :3)

Real world politics are stressful in universe politics only

I really wanna interact with other roleplay blogs, but some of those interactions will only be canon as multiversal communication and have the Canon but also not tag (I may have given matcha controlled multiversal internet access lol)

I'm not sure how any of this works and am currently researching this phenomenon. But from my observations, this shouldn't be harmful other than the loud beeping when discussing something censored.

Matcha: Okaay… so, might be connected to some… multiversal internet

Mars: so you were bullshitting earlier?

Matcha: I ran with the excuse DUH I didn’t actually believe it! I just thought that tan guy was shockingly gullible

Mars: Well I was gonna ask…

Matcha: You were gonna ask WHILE still dealing with the compromised device?

Mars: I WAS FRESH OUT OF A PANIC ATTACK!Your tablet just HAD to do this while I'm around! When I could be framed as part of you and F- Pine whole thing! I don't like this, Idon't like space I don't like being in this metal tin. Hic- d-did you see how poorly constructed it is?

If it helps I've done tons of delivery missions before, and nothings happened yet, I doubt it's gonna start now

Matcha: ok, so… hm, the tan one accepted it to fast for it not to be possible… should have realized that.

Yellow: unpaid internships favor the wealthy being a capitalist EXPLOITATION of inexperienced workers under the guise of helping them achieve their personal and financial dreams.

Brown: Preach

Matcha: ...so they're brave and pissed

All imposters subspecies can somehow sense when someone else is an imposter, they can also all see ghosts. They also don't all have the same weaknesses since some of them evolved on different planets

Parasitic

Parasitic imposters kill their host and steal their memories. They have their own thoughts before finding a skin suit, but the former crewmates memories, emotions and morals shape a lot of who they are as an imposter. They still have their own inclinations, preferences and interests though and are not just pure copies of their skin suits personality. New ones tend to have extreme curiosity about the world and give into their murderous instincts often, while some just prefer seeing their prey squirm

Weakness: Salt

Melded

These are a genetically weaker variation of the parasitic imposters that can't kill the host. They're actually more common when found in certain areas, so it might be a different subspecies, but nobody knows. When they infect their host, they become one being with the original consciousness still in charge, but the body gains alien qualities and instincts that tell them to kill (think rodamarix imposters) because they're weaker they carry guns. When a melded and a crewmate have a baby there's a chance it could be a natural born imposter or just a normal cremate

Note: salt does not kill them, it irritates them but the cremate side manages to counteract the usual deadliness. They can also survive in space longer than any other imposter type

Shape-shifters

Shapeshifters are what happens when a crewmate × parasitic type, a melded × a parasitic, or a natural born × a parasitic type have beans together

Viper

When the common ancestor of all imposter varients landed in the fungle, it eventually evolved to take on snake like qualities and venom. It takes control of the body similar to the parasitic subspecies. The take over process causes the skin suit to gain immunity from the acidic venom

Weakness: its cold blooded, so put it in a cold place and it will start dying of hypothermia within five minutes (if you put it somewhere too hot it will start burning to death too, it has NO temperature regulation)

Phantom

Has octopus like qualities (it can make itself clear) but it can only switch between one color (birth color or whatever color they dyed themselves bc fur dye exists but its hard to get sooooo) and clearness, which takes a lot of energy, so they can't stay clear forever.

Weakness: idk yet idk what to put here

Natural born imposter

Natural born imposters are born from any natural born × natural born pairing or any of the imposter varients having beans with a crewmate. They can be any imposter type but are also part crewmate.

Weakness: whatever the weakness of the subspecies they came from weakness is, minus a few exceptions

Matcha: don’t worry orange, I can show them what to do!

Orange: Wonderful idea! After all, trust balls are an important part of a healthy employee environment!

Matcha: I'm Matcha, Blue's assistant, I have ten siblings, and one of them is my twin! And they're right next to me

Green: Wowee, you're from a big family too? I'm the youngest of fifteen!

Uh... I can name over 1,000 beings, rituals and panthaeons from fifteen different planets?

Orange: Well the ships taking off soon so we gotta finish this tour fast! See you later everyone!

Matcha: I have had to explain who I am more times in the past ten minutes than I did filling out the mission paperwork

Mars: is the orange one always like that?

Matcha: Yes
