Okay I jest and bully Reigen a lot but this expression. He’s so touched by Mob thinking he’s a genuinely good guy and he’s trying so hard to keep it together and keep his composure.

This is the man who questioned his entire life and purpose that same day, who looked deep inside himself and evaluated his life, who wondered if he’ll ever be somebody and why he does anything. He doubts himself and figures HE’S the one who’s been holding Mob back this entire time.

He was humiliated on live tv and kicked while he was down. He’s been made a laughingstock, he’s a joke, been called a fraud, a liar, a cheat to his face. His entire life was under a microscope, picked apart and mocked. And when he needed help people who he thought he could lean on turned him away. He had no privacy and no one to help except for his parents.

Reigen was truly alone and had no one but Mob, and he felt as if he destroyed the mentor/student bond with what he said.
