Discovering who you are and how you interact with the world is a gift. Maturing and learning what you truly want out of life and living in that purpose brings fulfillment and peace. Your life is not over in your early 20's because you haven't figured it out yet, it's just beginning.

several years ago a tumblr user started watching rgu and said they didn't like it because of anthy being a slave. this person was slammed to hell and told they didn't understand the story. today rgu fans are reblogging this to demonstrate that they have a stronger critical understanding of rgu than "other people" who aren't as advanced as them. this is now the typical response when criticism is leveled of rgu.

There is a HUUUUUGE gap between "transfems experience a unique intersection of oppressions which are not experienced by transmascs", which is true, "some passing trans men benefit from male privilege", which is true, "trans people are not immune to transphobic rhetoric and this can sometimes take the form of transmascs engaging in transmisogyny", which is true, and "transmascs should be treated as equivalent to cis men because trans men are men and therefore as men they are a danger to trans women" like do you see where the gigantic leap of logic comes in here?

There is something personally offensive to me about accounts that go out of their way to post about transmascs being dangerous or untrustworthy or transmisogynistic when the primary danger to trans women right now is the goddamn United States government. Like we've got people in the white house who would outlaw all HRT if given the opportunity and you're gonna post about trans men?? I don't even mean this in a "we have bigger fish to fry" sort of way I mean this is the sense that building solidarity is one of the most important things you can do when faced with a hostile government and society. It's not just that the claims being made are bullshit and transphobic it's that the whole thing feels actively self-destructive toward creating any kind of community that's of any use to anyone

not to get super personal but coming to terms with whatever happened to me after getting covid as well as all the stuff that’s just happening to my body as I get older has been really hard. getting my sleep apnea addressed has been really helpful but I still get winded just going up a flight of stairs, I don’t have anywhere near the strength or stamina I used to and standing too long at a time makes my back hurt and it sucks! I wish I had more free time to figure this stuff out and I hate that just when I was finally starting to feel neutral about my body it started crumbling around me. just sucks.

I guess it’s nice things aren’t worse for me. my wife and I are moving into an apartment that’s less expensive than our current place and we’ll be in the same building as a friend of mine, so, lots of stuff is gonna improve, and I’m really fortunate to have the job I have. it could be worse. I just want to be happier with my body and to figure out a way to fix some of my health stuff.
