I'll never be as cool as him
Makoto Yuki 1/8 Scale by Apex Innovation, from Persona 3 Reload
It’s so fucking rudimentary to consider Black Americans a largely oppressed underclass with the country’s most revolutionary history of struggle and this has been known across the world by revolutionaries for decades.
Because people are intellectually dishonest this is not saying Black Americans are a singular class with internally equal experiences of oppression. There are class divisions within every community and minorities within those communities who possess most of the wealth and power compared to their toiling brethren. Obviously you unite the most deeply oppressed of any group with one another.
But a few Black millionaires and petty property owners does not make Black Americans a majority petite and big bourgeois community, quite the opposite. The deepest poverty outside of reservations in the United States is experienced in the ghettoized and increasingly gentrified de facto segregated Black neighborhoods. Black Americans have had the most revolutionary organizations in America’s history, from slave revolts to what WEB Du Bois referred to as the “general strike of the slaves” during the Civil War to spontaneous insurgencies to radical labor unions to outright Marxist vanguard parties.
Of course there are members who are ideologically or economically tied to imperialism and do not wish to cease receiving the benefits. But there are also the deepest of the poor who have repeatedly tied the violence of the American streets to the violence of American imperialism. This is increasingly a common analysis again with a mass movement building.
We are Marxists, we recognize that there are contradictions in everything. Of course they may have strong political divisions within them, that’s just how life works. There are backwards pro imperialist white workers and revolutionary white workers too as there are lackeys in your own country.
Woah you fetishize the concept of abuse that's so crazy transgressive no one's ever done that before it's not like woven into the fabric of our bigoted societies or something
Was trying and failing to summarize my thoughts on a lot of connected issues with this but I think generally harassment campaigns and censorship isn't helping survivors/victims and hurts people. I do think we should get to point out how normie and uncool/romantic getting off on abuse is though. Like you're not being edgy and subversive you're genderbending mormon backed fantasies at best. Abuse in every form it exists is a fucking industry if you're eating that up then it's about as transgressive as collecting funko pops like no one cares.
People are already "spite" talking about the awesome kinky sex they're going to have in an attempt to upset me on here btw. I don't care that you spank your girlfriend but I do get to call you a loser for feeling the need to say that on this post. I do get to say lmao nobody asked and nobody cares.
The point isn't that kink is bad idfc about that conversation anymore bc it isn't helping anyone involved. The point is that there's allowed to be social consequences for how you present that kink and talk about it to wider audiences. The point is that as a SA survivor I get to say I think getting off to this is uncool. Not immoral. Not worthy of harassment. Just ridiculous and deeply unserious. You can do whatever you want with other consenting adults but I can call you a loser for it. You have to make peace with being called a loser you can't expect everyone to take your kink seriously and then get mad when they criticize it in seriousness because you've presented it as high art and a sacred act.
Is it just sex or are we not allowed to have opinions about it? You can't have it both ways. Accepting that people might not like you for your interests and that this isn't indicative of your morality is a basic social skill and if you cannot learn it you are just as much a part of the "we need to make everything a moral issue so we have excuses to dislike someone" problem as everyone else.
#Also a reminder #giving people detailed descriptions of the sex you have with the intention to upset them #is in fact sexual harassment #like not even an edge case just textbook sexual harassment
This %100. The fact that it's normalized to clap back against anyone criticizing anything related to sex with just actual sexual harassment is so dismaying. Like even if we ignore all nuance for a second and assume that everyone with any kind of passing criticism of kink communities is a raging bigot... how is sexual assault an acceptable response to that?
If people can understand concepts like "you shouldn't misgender someone you dislike/who's a bad person because your ability to gender people correctly shouldn't be conditional on who you like" then they should really deeply truly understand that it's not acceptable to sexually harass people.
there hasn't been too much backlash against this post thankfully but when I was younger and less eloquent + more reactionary (anyone who's followed me enough years will know I've become more accepting in this area not less) I had people telling me that I deserved the sexual abuse I've suffered and that I'm complicit in my own sexual abuse somehow because I am saying things on the internet people disagree with.
Like I cannot ask people to like me, to understand me, or even to tolerate me. I am not some bastion of wisdom I get that I can be wrong about things, reactionary, etc. but I CAN ask that we denormalize sexual harassment regardless of our views on everything else. Like that really isn't too much to ask from everyone.
people in kink communities you NEED to tell your peers off when they do this. Raise your standards even just a little bit please and thank you.

it can't be good for you to play resident evil because you find leon s kennedy attractive. isn't the game largely composed of him getting brutally killed by zombies? surely that's going to give you some scary mental associations.
No i see no issue here
watches this gif over and over and you see something imperceptible shift in my expression

anyways, no whiteperson from france should ever be talking abt black/brown american privilege when they live in a country that continues to reap the rewards from the african countries they raped/pillaged into devastating amounts of generational debt.
