A Song I Didn't Want to Lose | 《永恒的道》 ("The Eternal Word")
A little different from my usual Romance Club posts today.
This is an earlier recording of me singing the Chinese Christian song 《永恒的道》 ("The Eternal Word"). I could no longer find this song online, so I thought to preserve it somewhere meaningful.

P.S. I tried searching for the original composer of this song, but unfortunately couldn't identify them. If anyone happens to know who wrote, originally performed or composed 《永恒的道》, I'd be very grateful to learn so I can properly credit them.

I came across this recent Q&A with N.O.V.A. and thought some of the story-related answers might be interesting to English-speaking readers. I’ve gathered a few highlights below. 😊

One detail I found particularly interesting was how the English version uses “Wren” while other language versions use “Ren”, and how we can already see this difference reflected in the dialogue.

🌿 Ren’s origin
Ren wasn't based on one specific real-life person. Instead, she gradually took shape from a combination of personality traits and the situations she'll experience.
Her light-skinned sprite was partly inspired by features commonly associated with Irish people.
The English default name Wren was chosen after research into the bird and the symbolism surrounding it. The author felt both the bird's personality and the folklore around wrens fit Ren well. Players are, of course, free to rename her.
⌛ Development
The co-author joined the project after New Year and the story was released in June, so her involvement before release lasted roughly six months.
When asked to describe the story in one sentence, she answered:
"We're wolves, brother."
One word she chose to describe the atmosphere of the continuation:
Consequences.
📖 Story structure
There won't be a balanced stat route.
Endings will depend on both your chosen stat path and the decisions you make throughout the story.
Three seasons are currently planned.
🌙 Moonborn
She first discovered Moonborn while it was still being released.
Her favourite characters are the werewolves because of their mutual support and love of freedom.
💬 On reader feedback
She admitted she doesn't have time to follow every discussion, but some reactions still reach her.
One of her memorable comments:
"The best way to avoid making mistakes is... to actually make them."
She also added that she's still learning a completely new medium, so not everything will be perfect from the beginning—and that's okay.
✍️ Continuing an existing story
One of the longest answers explained what it's like to continue someone else's world.
Some key points:
- Working in an established universe is very different from creating your own.
- Alexander (Jester) shared the world's foundations, story framework, and major milestones from the beginning.
- Her role is to build the journey between those milestones while keeping the characters believable.
- Most new characters were created by her, but their personalities and designs were developed together.
- Alexander (Jester) carefully reviews scenes involving his original characters to ensure they remain true to themselves.
- She especially admires the amount of care he puts into making every route feel meaningful, regardless of whether players spend diamonds or which ending they reach.

Other sprite reference (updated on 30th Jul): The game also uses this expression here. I found both versions conveyed a very similar emotional atmosphere, but I happened to capture the first one by chance, and that became the image that inspired this post.

Forest Valley at Jewel Changi Airport was designed to bring nature closer to people while balancing sustainability, biodiversity and thoughtful engineering.
Years later, while reading PSI, I found myself remembering it during Ivo and Lou's eco-capsule date scene.
What connected the two was the feeling of nature and human engineering co-existing side-by-side within the same carefully designed space — where science, technology and knowledge helped create safer spaces for both discovery and coexistence.
Both became green sanctuaries for people to escape their worries, and just be for a while.
For a moment, it wasn't just remembering a place, but remembering how it felt to stand inside it.

Looking back, this is probably the only video edit where I ended up posting the second version and not the first.
Both edits used cello music covers of Titanium, but they approached the song very differently. The first completely reimagined it, mainly through cello and piano, recreating even the beats from scratch.
The second cover stayed much closer to the pulse of the original song. It retained more of the rhythm and momentum that made Titanium feel like Titanium.
It's one of the few edits where I consciously chose the music version that served the story.

Looking forward to the finale of "The Missing" and wondering whether the ending will align with Ghita's character arc I've been seeing unfold.
While working on the edit, I've been trying to compress all the musical moments that give me goosebumps in the song into a 1.5-minute segment. I'm kinda increasingly fond of how the rearrangement prolongs that feeling.

Between the Tempest and the Sky | TTS "Padam Padam" Video Edit
Nine months ago, I was wondering whether to focus on Tiss's future with Tai or Sha'arnez. The introduction of the "Fatal Flirt" achievement, allowing players to potentially see the two rivals duel for her affection made this indecision feel more urgent. (But don't we love this type of mayhem? 🤭)
Even then, Tai's route already hinted at the duality that fascinated me: at times he felt like a tempestuous, fiery whirlwind, and at others like the sheltered care of a great green forest.
Meanwhile, Sha'arnez was the supportive mentor who helped Tiss discover her potential as a dragon rider, encouraging her growing bond with Narialm.
Looking back now, this edit feels like a small time capsule from a moment when both futures seemed equally appealing.
I have since settled on a route.
Unfortunately, TTS later introduced Aldir and reminded me that certainty is a fragile thing. 🤭
