the symbolism of zuko discussing his fears about not being forgiven by iroh with katara is so good because it explicitly outlines why katara forgave him. she could tell that he was genuinely apologetic about his actions and that is why she forgave him at the end of the southern raiders despite not being obligated to. the growth from their TSR moment until this scene is so meaningful because by this point, she can't even imagine iroh not forgiving him.

it's also why when antis assume (read: self insert) that katara still could never fully forgive his actions and just "barely tolerates him", it holds no weight because 1) she didn't have to walk over to have this conversation, 2) she's genuinely smiling through this whole conversation.

to all of those people who don't like boromir i'd like to remind you that boromir died with his honour intact. unlike isildur, face down in a river with arrows piercing through his back, corrupted and afraid. he fought as a son of gondor, protected what he knew was pure and died with the blessing of the king of men. he died laying in the arms of a king. his king. he may have been swayed by the power of the ring but in the end he fought and faced it. in the end his heart was true to his people. those of gondor—his home. and those of the fellowship—his friends. he died as a brother, a friend, and a hero.

Another thing i just realized. Isildur died with arrows to the back while Boromir died with arrows to the front. A way to say that while Isildur tried to run away from his issues, Boromir faced them with no fear?

Ahsoka and rex drive me insane. Wdym theyre literally one of the best friendships in all of star wars. Wdym its criminally under explored. Wdym its dave filonis two faveroite ocs. Wdym he only lets us see them interact directly like twice in 3 seasons of rebels. Wdym no rex mention in ahsoka's show. Wdym theyre literally best friends but HARDLY interact. Wdym some of the best writing + animation is an arc which laregly centers on their relationship.

I took almost 100 screencaps from the Avatar Aang movie to use as desktop wallpapers, so I figured I'd share some. I'll toss the first 15 or 20 in this post and if folks are interested in more, I'll reblog it with another set.

Most of these are STUNNING, GORGEOUS, AMAZING matte paintings, so they don't feature many of the characters, or if they do, the characters are usually quite small.

Obviously, spoilers ahead.

Also, anyone who leaves negative comments about the movie or bitches in the tags is getting blocked. Was the plot predictable? Sure. But 95% of movies and tv shows are very easy to predict, and everything else about this was so obviously made with love and incredible skill that I honestly don't care about a formulaic plot. I would like to enjoy one [1] thing uncritically, so if you want to complain, go somewhere else.
