Hello! Here are some installation photos of my art exibit for my oc worldbuilding project!

Why is it named Sebikah?

Sebikah is the name of a phonetic cipher I created that serves to be the written and Spoken language of these fantastical charactersss

This is what it looks like! Its based on the International phonetics alphabet (ipa) chart and has a custom symbol for every noise! Because the IPA works in every spoken language So can Sebikah! Any language can become Sebikah. In universe that means that I haven't actually worked out what their spoken language is, (I need to do a LOT more language research before I create a spoken language) but as long as I don't invent new noises all should work out :p

What are they? Elves?

Yes! But also no! I named them Fair Folk (honestly I was looking for something inspired by Fae and Named them that not realizing that it was ALREADY A NAME) Because of the speicies obsession with vanity. They have a lot of societal expectations for how one should dress and style themselves aesthetically

Don't style your hair, pierce your ears but not your face, don't accesorise your hair, do wear jewlery and make sure it drapes nicely, Don't wear clothes that are the same color as your skin or hair, do wear clothes the same color as your eyes. If your eyes and skin are the same color, you may not wear that color of clothing.

They also have a strong society around magic! When a Fair-Folk is born the baby will collect the magical energy from the flora and fauna around it at the time. This means it's magical abilities are most similar to its mother, but are also heavily affected by the area it was born in. The color of its Skin relates to the climate it was born in, the color of its hair is the type of magic it inhereted from its parents, and the color of eyes is based on the Season they were born in All three relate to magical abilites and can result in many different types of magic depending on combination!

Eye Colors: Autumn-Red | Winter-Blue | Spring-Green | Summer-Yellow|

Pink eyes are when a character is born on an equanox or solstace, this makes their magical abilites very flexable and rather strong because of that flexability. A jack of all trades type. Usually these Folk are put into special education systems and trained to work for the governmental Council.

Analogous colors = Master of one type of magic Contrasting colors = Average at mutliple types of magic Any Color with Pink Eyes = Exeptional in most types of magic (but most powerful in those matching its hair and skin)

If a fair folk is born in a cavern it will have grey skin and an affinity for divination magic. It is also more likely to have black sclara and eyes that can fold into slits.

(The "Strongest" combination would be if someone was born In a cavern on a solstace or Equanox)

What is the worldbuilding for?

My ocs! I had 26 included in this project though I have many... MANY more than that, I decided to collect up only the ones most important to the story and keep them all together

This is eventually all going to become a webcomic and here on the tail end of the wall you can see the beginnings of the comic work, though it is really rough right now! Lol

🙋it was me!

My dad was like, a maid or something (specifically he wore a dress) for a ritch family and me and my brother were camping out in the rich people house bc we were apparently homeless, they didn't know we were there

Thing is, house is huge, never found us, house is also haunted, the ghosts knew we were there and were like, trying to get us caught bc they wanted us to stop slinking around their fuckin attic

Notably

1 we were in a horror movie

2 I knew how the movie would unfold plot point for plot point

3 I was actively doing things to try and stop the movie from happening as it was supposed to (ex move the thing out of the hallway during the foreshadowing scene instead of leaving it there to be tripped over later in the ghost killing that guy scene)

Specifically there was this little wooden baby statue of like the angel, and you aren't supposed to touch the cursed things with your hands otherwise they getcha, and I stomped on the freak ass baby with my bare foot and this started the hauntings prematurely

My brother kept getting caught out in the open by the kids and then scurrying off when they went to go get someone to one of the many secret passage ways or closets and the kids thought *he* was a ghost which was just pissing off the actual ghosts even more

My dad kept trying to get us to steal things?? He was like "here take this Xbox to the attic with you no one will notice it's gone" then a kid would be like "hey mom have you seen my Xbox?" And my dad was every time like "fuck the thing that they use all the time! How ever could they have noticed it was missing, I'll just go put it back and pretend I was cleaning it"

Today I was in an organizing mood so I:

organized my files on my computer

color coded my desktop
