Namakubi for My friend/fellow tattooer Easton @easton13tattoos Namakubi or severed head is popular Japanese imagery within tattooing. Decapitation use to be a cultural institution in Japan. Head hunting was customary as a result of defeating your enemy in warfare. Heads would either be stacked in a pile or hung from trees. I have read that the tattoo imagery symbolizes courage, fearlessness, respect for foe, or whatever the hell you want. Enjoy!
