see there is a vent of a trans woman complaining about how leftist, ostensibly progressive spaces will treat outright open hostility to women as bad and regressive, but will always be fine with transmisogyny. to any transfem, it is incredibly clear as to what the post is referring to, but it seems like it is too much nuance for our TME "allies" to comprehend, or even take a moment to perhaps question "is my reading of this post correct, or am I assigning the worst possible take to a venting trans woman?"
perhaps it is a mix of tumblr users' incapability to read a post without thinking that it must apply universally in every situation regardless of any clues in the post to the contrary, and the fact that most TMEs seem to imagine the concept of transmisogyny as a lesser form of oppression, entirely distinct from real woman misogyny, and not the intersection of misogyny and transphobia. if neither of these were the case, then they could not have possibly read a trans woman's vent post about transmisogyny and concluded that the post declared that misogyny to be solved.
the follow up of idiot TME tumblrite communists complaining about transfems turning on their allies too quickly is incredibly ironic in that they are the ones turning on a transfem for not adding 15 disclaimers to a post in case the reader is too stupid and transmisogynistic to understand it.
as always the most important rules of being a transfem communist on here are:
1. expect all tumblr communists to be tumblr users first and communists second (or like fourth), and to be driven by ego before any principles. no one with a popular blog on here is realistically ever likely going to be useful to any revolutionary movement.
2. no TME is your ally unless they actually stick up for you and offer understanding, regardless of if they say "trans rights" once in a while. really get that one stuck in your head. if any TME user on here posts anything sketchy about transfems, unfollow and block. if any TME on here doesn't actually prove to be an ally, keep the at arm's length and don't get too attached to their blog.
